I'm trying them for the first time although I have used another brand. It seems the whole "technology" of bottom coil/syringe filled has the same set of problems and weak points. I looked at my desk the other day and have a total of five differnt styles of delivery systems, none of which is perfect to say the least and several are so terrible I'm amazed anyone has the nerve to market them. I am hoping this new, reworked, vastly improved, solution to every ill in the world delivers on at least some of my expectations, but I won't be all that surprised if it doesn't. Guess I getting even more cynical in my old age. There is always the olde reliable, the carto, when I get tired of leaks, burnt taste, syringe filling, tweaking battery posts, making sure I'm standing in the right relationship to the earths magnetic fields, checking the solar flare level and all the other little "tricks". All I want is easy, dependable and repeatable.

Wish I woulda bought mine in May. But I agree, they are great little devices and I'm far from giving up on them. Just got to apply a couple tweeks and we'll see how it works out.

I have been using these since late June, I have about 10 in rotation now and just had to sideline my first because while cleaning it I dropped the innerseal down the sink drain. It is also the one that I have used exclusively for the last 2 weeks with about 50ml of a 20/15/65 PG/DW/VG DIY. This was only the second dry burn cleaning. I haven't yet had a leaking problem due to the inner seal that others have reported.
Guess I have been the lucky one!

Use the top silicone mouthpiece to replace that inner seal and pierce it with a needle to get the syringe hole.

If you take the outer tubes off the base to clean them, you can lessen the damage to the top seal, and extend the life of it by leaving it on the center tube when wiggling the plastic tube off. Then just push the neoprene seal out of the plastic tube with a pencil or something. Prying the neoprene seal out of the tube by sticking a needle into the fill hole only shortens the life of the seal.

I can see that. And that's why I do it the way you suggest. Trying to jam screwdrivers and paper clips into that seal cannot be doing it any good. I remove the tube from the base and just leave the seal inside the tube before rinsing it out with warm water. Again, I believe the seal is getting ruined when it is filled the first time and being "pierced" with the syringe needle. I have begun piercing with a sewing needle before the initial fill now.

I also pull the outter tube and push the seal out with my tweezers when cleaning to avoid stressing the inner seal.

Reassembly is quite easy. I first reassemble the post and coil cup, then push the outter tube on.
Then I insert the inner seal till it's almost touching the post so I can see if it's aligned and if necessary I center the post with my tweezers before pushing the seal on to it.

That's the way I do it. When I push the seal down onto the center tube, I make sure I can just see the metal of the tube evenly all around the center hole of the seal.

What is the thread diameter and thread pitch for a 510 and ego ?

I took my phoenix and ego batt to Home Depot, and couldnt find anything to screw on either?

Any thoughts?

Funny, I was wondering the same thing and was going to run out in my shop and start throwing some nuts and bolts around to see if it was a standard thread (metric or english). It would be kind of nice to have a tap/die set for them. Same for the plastic tank threads that strip easily.

The Depot has a "Thread Checker" little guage in their hardware section but alas, nothing seems to fit it...
Leave it to the Chinese to come up with a proprietary size and thread....

I have no idea. I tried the same thing. I wanted to make a holder for screwing 510 Fluxos and Phoenix into for pulling tubes off and reassembling. I don't like doing it on my Provari; so I've been using an old 808 cig battery with an 808/510 adaptor.
