Per Damulta's request, here are your pics Pal of my Phidilas with the AFS mounted on top and I'm currently running it at 6V w/ 2 x 3v Tenergy Batts. I will say I love this dam mod like this, talk about running like a raped vape this thing absolutely kicks out some serious vapor set up like this  .!!!

opps, I stole the switch from the SB, and instaled it on the Phidias!

It's now pocket friendly:p

Guess what D?

There's no accounting for taste...

I actually prefer the Phidias switch on BOTH units

Thanks for the SB disassembly tips though...

The new black Phid switch on the SB is a winner!!

an easy change out for you SB owners out there...

LOL..

Boy Fo, that box is so SHINNY!!!

Yea, I like the Phidias switch on the SB also:p

I like the look of the SB switch on the Phidias, but I really like how it is almost 100% pocket friendly with it in it. The way I did it, made it right on the edge of the Phidias.

I sooooo need to order some tongue oil for my Phidias. Mine is so dull, and drying out thanks to me sanding out a scratch/dent I put on it from a drop.

D,

that's one of my high gloss units..but

The tung oil finish was my first choice because of its user friendliness...

anyone can expect fine results, here's what I suggest...

Take an old burned out 510 atty or carto and screw it in the connector.

This gives you something to hold on to while applying a fresh coat...and a simple clothes pin (secured) will act as a stand for drying, a 510 sized hole in something would do better...or a dowel to slip in the dead 510?

(figure out your drying stand before you begin)

You can take the switch out (it's threaded in--no glue) if you'd like, or maybe just tape it off (recommended), and or just do nothing, it won't hurt it or stick to the edge of the casing ---neatness counts--don't get crazy---smile

The black sponge type brush works well, or a clean lint free cloth----a gentle sanding with 220 grit before each coat will help keep a smooth result. (rip off a strip and fold on itself in thirds)

read the label directions--and don't try to put too much on at once.

I'd also be willing to upgrade any Phidias out there for a small fee--just to cover expenses and such...

You can do this, the Tung oil finish is a nice feature--the poly folks are stuck monkeys--meaning you have to strip it down to bare wood and start over

Regards
fo

PS. a damp cloth with an wee-bit of dish soap will wipe any dirt away...you could put several light coats on and just rub it out with and old cotton tee shirt, and achieve fine results.

regards

OK, finally about ready to take the plunge here, but I'm a trifle confused about some things. I normally use either 808 or GreenCig cartomizers with a KR808 Mega battery. Never messed with atomizers or any of that, and never tried any mods before either.

Would a GreenCig cartomizer with adapter work on the Woody, or does one have to use an atomizer of some sort? I looked thru the entire thread but didn't see anything that answered it, but I may have missed it. I currently have the GC to 808 adapter that I use on my passthrough/808 batts, not sure if that would work for a Woody or not. I've loved the design and artistry of the Woody since I first saw it, and now that I passed 6 months smoke free, I'd like to reward myself with something nice. I'm in and out of a truck all day going from job to job, which is why I prefer cartomizers over dripping and such, it's just a lot simpler to swap out a new cart and keep going rather than try to keep a bottle ready and drip every few minutes. My regular Mega batteries have been outstanding, I can usually have one last me the workday but it sounds like the Woody batteries have a really long runtime on em.

Also, regarding batteries, I've seem a ton of models and numbers being tossed around, but what is the best general purpose battery for a Woody? I'd have to get a charger and batteries as well as the Woody and would like to know beforehand what I should be eyeballing.

Yes, a ton of newbie questions here, sorry. I'm just really picky about knowing everything I need before I get into something, I never just jump into things (just OUT of them as long as it's an airplane and I have a chute on:p) since I tend to analyze everything to death before I make a decision.

Conner if your gonna use KR808 cartos or greencig cartos then you need a special adapter just for the phidius
go to adapters select 510>greencig carto for woody. 2nd one down. you might get in touch with Drew and ask him. this is what he told me to buy.
as far as batterys i use 18650 high drains for 3.7v with a regular or LR 306 atty or 2 two 3 volt batteries for 6 volt vaping. up to you which you prefer.
so far everyone is talking about just using a 3.7 volt battery with Drews LR 306 atty. this is golden man. I used to use greencigs all the time and when this 306 atty came out i dropped the greencigs.
Drew will confirm what im saying about the LR306 atty. any other questions just ask.
and Fono did and is still doing an excellent job on the Phidius. wtg Martin

Woot, Billy to the rescue. :D

I'm starting simple, don't wanna get too far into things before I figure out the basics, so I'll stick with the cartos for now, but the whole atomizer thing is something I WILL look into since it seems to be all the rage with the Woody.

Found the adapter you were talking about, even has (for Woodimus) in the description. So for run-of-the-mill carto vaping at 3.7, the 18650 is the battery to shoot for?

If I understand everything correctly here, looks like I'll be making my first insane order instead of my usual piddly 1 or 2 bottles of juice. :pNow I gotta sit and pick out which Woody I like the best, used to be EASY with only 3 options, now there's what, TWELVE to choose from?

For the past week in mine I have been running non-rechargeable batteries. I'm like on my 5th day on this set(crazy I normally only hit 3 days on non rechargeables) lol, but I did just swap them out for a new set so I'm not out/hit dead batteries. Even tho I always keep an extra 18650 battery with me. I may just switch to non-recharable batteries, because they are so hassle free.

Surefire Batteries - Box of 12 123a Lithium Batteries link

Those batteries would be for 6v 18650 is the stock power 3.7v

You can use any atty on the phidias with the right adapter. I have been running a KR808 with a driptip on top for the past few weeks it seems. I just drop in 10 drops every few hours it seems.

Like Cos pointed out, you can use the KR808 cartomizers on the Woody with an adapter, but you should be sure to try out one of the 510 cartomizers. The Woody comes with a free "drip tip" along with the 1.618ohm 510 atomizer so you'll have an opportunity to venture out of the realm of cartomizers, but the 510 cartos are great and I'm looking forward to trying the LR version.

I'm anxiously waiting for my mail carrier to show up with my Nhaler order today so I can try the low resistance 510 cartos and 18650 Xhaler upgrade. :D I understand the trouble deciding how to fill the cart--every time I've ordered from Xhaler it takes me longer to fill my cart than it takes for them to ship it!! (Drew, your staff never ceases to impress!)

Oooh, I've heard some good things about those 510 cartos, I might have to toss a pack of those on the order as well if they're that good. Dammit, MORE money spent!

Gimmie a few weeks/months with the basic carto/adapter setup first, then I'll dip my toe in the atomizer/driptip pool. :) Huge thanks to Billy and the rest of you folks, I've always been impressed and thankful for the community here, you people made my transition from analogs to vaping painless and downright fun.

Don't be too intimidated. Since you'll be getting some attys and a driptip, you'll be able to try it and I think you'll find that it is very very* simple. The 510 driptip will actually fit on your cartomizers or on a regular atomizer. Just drip 2 or so drops of your favorite e-liquid directly into the tip, blow lightly into it to make sure there's none stuck to the side to get in your mouth and vape away. As soon as the flavor starts to fade or you get the slightest hint of a dry atomizer, just add a few more drops and continue.

Lately I've been using cartomizers because they hold more liquid so I can put more drops in and use it longer before topping off, but even still I mostly stick with 2 drops every 5-10 puffs or whenever the flavor starts to fade no matter what I'm using to vape. Before long, it becomes easier to drip than it was to take an analog out of the pack and light it.

*ETA: I just noticed the overuse of the word "very"... Maybe I shouldn't watch Police Academy while perusing forums.

For me, picking up a Woody (TWSS) was all about options. This thing can do everything with the right adaptors, looks great, and the 18650 high drain batteries last for days.

You won't be disappointed with the 510 cartos, they are just sooooo good. Also, the LR306 atomizer with drip tip is rapidly becoming a favorite from Nhaler as well. I also have some LR 510 cartos on the way, should be here tomorrow so will post later on how they perform. Plus the 1.65 ohm LR510 silver atty's that come with the Woody are pretty great. Don't be afraid to try new things, just post your questions here and we'll do what we can to help get you going. It is likely you will burn out an atty or two as you learn the ropes, but you will be amazed ad how great a vape the LR atty's are once you get it down. Still cheaper than the analog habit too...

Thilium - Let us know how the Xhaler upgrade goes and what you think of the new battery options plz. Definitely interested in this one.

FINALLY settled on #10 style for my Woody, talk about endless back and forth, geez. :pSince I'm outdoors and bouncing around in a truck all day, I figured a darker color would be better, and I like the woodgrain on that one. Grabbed a 5 pack of the 510 555's, that flavor has always been a favorite of mine.

Batteries, charger, cartos, adapter for my GC cartos and Woody, gonna be salivating at the door next week waiting for this order to arrive.

Not like I don't end up standing at the door salivating like Pavlov's Dog on any NHaler delivery day.
