WOOHOO!

My shiny new Woody arrived today. :D

Man, it's beefy, the pictures just don't do it justice. This thing ain't no sissyfied lightweight piece of junk, it's got personality. I've gotten so used to the "standard" e-cig designs that this beast took me by surprise right away. VERY nice woodwork and the joins between the different pieces are topnotch.

Now I'm terrified to bring this to work with me, almost seems like blasphemy to haul something like this around in the truck all day. :p Once again Drew, you prove why NHaler is the best around, order sent on 7/23, arrived on 7/26. :toast:

EDIT

Thanks to Doc Vapor and his videos, I figured I'd try this whole "drip" thing with one of the atomizers the Woody came with.....Holy Cow! Talk about a CLOUD of vapor, geez. I don't know if I'll drip often, but it certainly pumps out the vapor, and it seems to taste a little different as well, somehow more "pure" I guess is the best way to put it.

Yeah, the LiMN 18650 is just a fantastic battery, using a LR 306 or 510 it reminds me of the Xhaler with freshly charged RCR123A's but stays that way much longer. It's just really really nice and brings out the flavor so well of Drew's Octane line.

One thing I notice is that especially with the LR306 and drip tip is that I constantly have a "wet" ring around the atty connection. I don't think I'm over dripping as the atty isn't gurgling when I vape and there isn't the pool of juice around the base of the atty. I'm worried juice is getting into the wood around the atty connection and was thinking of cleaning it really well, letting it dry for a day or two and applying a very thin coat of epoxy for 2-3mm around the atty connection to make the juice stay out of the wood.

Anyone else experiencing this and have any advice? Thx!:vapor:

Hi debook,

Yes I have some input...

There's no need to worry about the wood, it has a minimum of three coats of tung oil---most likely more like five coats.

You see, I use this treatment as it penetrates the wood as a thin-ish liquid and through a cross link processes becomes a solid.

Unlike surface treatments, it's "in there" and so there's no need to worry...

The inside of the Phidias receives a generous coat of mineral oil (NOT mineral spirits i.e. paint thinner) I use mineral oil as it does not sour over time, in fact it is intended as a digestive aid and is meant to be taken internally...it is also tasteless and odorless and seals/penetrates the wood as well.

I assure you, my use of tung oil as a preferred finish is as costly to me in the extra time it takes, as providing the inlays...

right-on, I wouldn't have it any other way...

Best Regards

I have an original Woody from the day they were released and it's gotten quite a bit of use from me and now my sister is enjoying it at the moment. I too worried about the juice on wood but kept wiping it as needed and the finish has held up great for all these months!

The Woody is a beauty!! The 18650 in it....Awesome!

Thanks Fono! Still love the Woody!

So last night before work I forgot to charge my 18650 batt's like an idiot, put two TF 16340's in instead with a HV 510 atty and holy crap! My head was swimming 5 minutes in! I forgot how nice a good 5-6v vape is since I've been using LR atty's almost exclusively since I got a woody! The batteries are still going strong and I can't put this thing down - Octane Signature really comes alive at higher voltages. No harshness, leaking, and plumes of vapor. Love that this thing can do it all and do it all really well.

Thanks Drew!!!!

I bet this will now give the REO a run for it's money. I really think IMO the Phidias is so much more prettier, but a lot of people went for the reo cause of the auto fill.

This also looks like a much better design idea! It wouldn't go off, and get your pants all covered in liquid!

I found a switch replacement for the one the SB uses. Well it's a little different, but I don't think it would go off as easy in your pocket as the original. Which the original is still great, the original button has a Very Relaxing fill to it. I'm just lazy, and never take off my atty:p

If anyone is interested here is the link
Nickel Plated Momentary Switch

The Phidias STOPPED me from buying any other mods. It's just perfection, and it does not look like your puffing on a pot pipe IMO as most other mods do. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone new to vapping, and or has been vapping for a long time. What other mod lets you place it on the table in the restaurant you are eating at, and the waitress never even takes a 2ed look at what it is.

I'd love to get my hands on the new design, but bills at the moment will tell me no for sometime to come:( I hope those who get it Love them as much as I love mine.
