Started at 18mg. Was on that for a month and then dropped to 12mg after getting into rebuildables. Stuck at that for a looooong time and I'm in my second month trying to drop to 6mg.

Unfortunately that hasn't been going too well. The massive drop in throat hit from 12mg to 6mg makes it too hard to stay at 6mg.

The only times I can get a satisfying vape on a 6mg juice is when I'm either subohming or cranking up the wattage on a rda, or using a chimney build on my kfl+provari.

Wintergreen flavor has been my savior with that. Doesn't gum up wicks, has nice throat hit, and is plastic tank friendly

I think it all depends on who is in the saloon at a particular time some people are friendlier than others and some will never talk to any but a select few

Some of us hide in the corner and shy away from people so as not to get caught up in the havoc that often occurs here. Some of us do that in real life, too.

For me mint and menthol are two different things. I tried some spearmint cuz I like that flavor in real life. But it was just too sweet. Menthol just does a better job for me personally.

Awww, come on, no way you're uncool!! I've learned a lot from you!! I've even taken screen shots of some of your posts for later use! :)

It was he and Eddards talking that got me to try the chimney coil...more specifically, his pics on wicking that I followed. It's now the only build I use in my Kayfun

Most 'menthols' I tried were as H2O called them, altoids- more mint than menthol. AIVs Cheshire Catnip is more menthol to me, but I'm not a huge menthol fan.

I think why I like the wintergreen is it brings me back to when I would dip Skoal when I was in high school

There has got to be a better way to capture wires on a Kayfun.

Indeed, indeed. I think that was the primary cause of the vast exploration of my vocabulary the first time I built mine. Then I found out it was too low.

Although I think I'm doing something wrong. I keep thinking I shouldn't need 15 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal to hit 1.5 ohms. I mean every build I've seen people doing was in the 1.3ish range, but they're only using like 9. And the inductance on that one really makes batteries unhappy.

Yet another reason for a Provari. You might end of draining your batteries, but I get the feeling it isn't going to destroy the board. Or at least if it does and is under warranty, you're in luck.

There isn't - most folks get ByLeo direct from the ByLeo website.
But you CAN find them popping up now and then in the classifieds - that's where I got mine. It's an awesome device - I'm not much of a dripper or a coil-building, but I love mine!

There's lots of "options" with them too -
I like them without a drip tip sometimes, but you can use any tip you like.
I have a "bottle" top, and I have a black top, too...

Those look really nice. You wouldn't happen to know if there are any distributors in the US, would you?

And I apologize again for the horse play and off topic posts. It won't happen again.

On the KFL, I usually aim for 1.8 -2.1 ohms. 28g microcoils, however have accidentally gotten a .08 ohm which was nice!

I prefer 30awg Kanthal on my KFL, wrapped around a roughly 2mm form.

I think the Russian and some of the clones actually have holes on the side of the deck that you can put the wire through to trap it. May be easier?

Those look amazing. Thank you for the photographs. Given my preferences, I like to buy device for a purpose and then use it forever. Actually I usually buy one cheapie to see if I'm going to enjoy x and then buy whatever seems to be the most durable/best quality device available. Fancy that, I end up with a Provari.

It shipped!!! Now I get to haunt the USPS site.

Mine is an EHPro KFL+, no holes, no nothing, just very tiny rotary wire binding devices. Very, very tiny ones. I'd thought about investigating some kind of clip or friction binding device, but most of them are too big or won't take the load. Most electronics at that size are built for milliamps, not amps.

I have some 32 AWG on the way so I may try it. Lots of web sites give the length of the wire for the resistance but I'm still hunting for number of coils. Most coils look far, far shorter than mine, but never having had a chance to study different builds in real life, I'm rather stuck with Youtube and the like. Makes it a little difficult. Especially as I don't have calipers to measure the wires I'm using to wrap with. I think it's the right size and people have used it, but ...

Still waiting, counter time, tick tock tick tock ... wonder how late the postal critter is going to be ... waiting ... ;)

I should note - seeing my post again, it could cause confusion.
That "bottle" option does NOT fit a drip tip...it's a more direct, hotter draw (but I like it).
