The community sense is where it frequently is - jumping in to help without first asking the most critical questions. I don't fault people for that, it usually doesn't occur to them.

I see that differently. I do fault the people responding to the OP. How can you answer a question like that without knowing exactly what the OP is using for equipment. It also helps to gauge if the OP has a clue as to what they are doing. A true teaching moment and possible live saving opportunity is being missed.

I think for a lot of these newer mech and sub ohm posters it is more about them than about the OP's problem.

Just got back from the physio! Did 115mins on the elliptical, and the doc says I should be crutchless in 2 to 4 weeks. Wub!!!

And the physio was After the hike? You will try to put the crutches down in 3 days. Just a guess. Hiking with crutches.

Gotta luv ya.

I completely agree with you that the information is vital, but to put it bluntly, I don't hold clueless against people who sincerely mean well.

You have a point. If someone is clueless they would not know they are.

Doesn't ECF get nervous about these kinds of posts? Kind of like the bartender giving the fall down drunk another shot and a beer before he hits the road.

I see the OP did not come back after the first few suggestions he raise his ohm level and find a new vape shop.

I see what you're saying but I was auto corrected. Was trying to ask about users common sense.
Going from a 1.5(estimate) predone kanger or Nautilus coil to a 0.2 ohm shop build would trigger some questions to the user, I would think.

You would think that , yes, IF they understood it all...I feel very lucky sometimes. My first ventures into RBA's I had some guidance from a local shop, that has some sensible folks working in it. They got me going on an IGO-L and a Lavatube, and I learned how to build at 1.6-1.8Ω. Now it makes sense to me why they suggested some of this, but when I started, I really didn't have a clue as to what I was playing with...They did me a huge favor, if you can maximize a single coil build on an attie, working in a safer zone, then moving up to duals and sub-ohm is just a small step from there, and the fundamental elements can be better understood. I still haven't bothered to double down on my coils...I found out that I really don't feel the need to. I already fill the room with vapor, to the point of my wife looking over and saying, "Really!". This is with a 1.3-1.4Ω single coil... walk before you run is not a very popular philosophy these days, it would seem...

He's a little busy answering questions himself.
Back soon for more advice.

I KNEW it!!! Bet you tried after your first full nights sleep in your wife's arms. Just was trying to be optimistic that you would let yourself heal a little more.

I am waiting for an updated avatar showing Kiwi in the juice lab or hiking. I know it will not be you in a recliner. lol

The Good Doctor is on a roll.

"The electrical physics don't matter. Because we are holding power constant, they are irrelevant. Which is the answer to the OP's question.

The BUILD's physics matter, which, in the terminology of the OP, means the build matters but not the amps."

I think he's probably trying to process all he was told and compare it to what the shop has been telling him. Plus, he might feel a bit embarrassed.

I wish, we didn't have a good one here when I started, all my help came from here and You tube.
