Not 1000% certain, but isn't the GG a pure mechanical??
And therefore, pretty much a completely different kind of animal?

Alright so I gotta ask this.

Before I bought my ProVari, I was considering the Golden Greek, yet was unable to ever find a seller, or new information.

Did ProVari kill/outlast the GG? Or are there still GGs available?

Back in the day, the GG was the be all end all, and took a lot of flak for being pricey. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

GG is massively popular and Yes they are mechanical although imeo is working on a module to allow regulation for those who want it.

GG = Golden Greek.
High quality series of mech mods. Beautiful finish. LOTS of different models. Many come engraved "for my friend" or something like that - a fond wish from the maker. People collect them, big time.

Yep! Was considering one when I left ECF many years ago to continue my sad experiments with actual smoking. Wish I'd not done that and gone for the GG.

But. I came back, researched, found ProVape, and now am a happy nonsmoking rhino. *snorts*

Thank you very much. This was the kind of information I was looking for. It's really hard to figure out some of this stuff from Youtube. My local shop has some good folks, but they're just not into rebuilding. They're here for the college kids with the egos and a clearo, which is fine, but not my thing. They work, but I'm too hard on stuff.

I mean I killed a Spinner. I didn't think that was possible! Yeesh. Not to mention the fact most of what I vape breaks tanks. I mean really does, isn't just advertised to break tanks. (I'm doing a running survey over on the ejuice forum. Its interesting to see what juices have actually melted or damaged what tanks.)

I use 2mm mandrel with 8 wraps of 30g Kanthal and cotton wick for Kayfun Lite + V2 clone . Usually get 2.0 to 2.2Ω which is my preferred Ω range at 4.2 volts. Have some Apollo pina colada which is this month's commercial treat. Normally I DIY. Started @ 18mg,then 12 now 6mg and holding.

Cool, thank you! I really do need to try some different coils. Maybe with Tony's trick in wrapping the wires around the posts, it won't be so bad. I mean I had no problems making the coils, wicking them, again, not so bad, but getting the things on the posts, now there was a problem.

Love your avatar, by the way. Done that. Horse about that color, too. Except I was on top of him. Then he decided to flee the waves ... going back out to sea. We did some swimming. Oops.
