Question about KF/R91/RTAs, etc. When do you build a new coil? I guess this is a poll.

If the coil is still working, do you rebuild? When? Why?

I used to rebuild every refill, so that's every 2 or 3 days depending on how many I have on rotation.

But that was because I wanna try out all the different twisted wires and builds.

Right now, I have 3 kf and 1 fogger v4 on me. 2 of my kayfuns' coils have been on since my first first ops, so that's approx 7 weeks. Still hitting like a beast.

It depends on the liquid. My morning vape, HHV Blueberry Muffin, needs a new wick every 4mL which is every other day or so & a new coil every 10-15 tanks. Dark Horse can last forever on the same wick & I rarely have to recoil it.

The flavor starts to suffer after a while, even with a fresh wick & a dry burn. I vape the same liquids frequently enough that I just notice when the flavor is getting muted, even on a fresh wick. 2 of my KFL's are dedicated to only 1 flavor each, another is almost dedicated to another flavor (but gets changed up occasionally) & the 4th gets switched up to whatever for my non-daily/essentials. New flavors always get a fresh wick & I'm more likely to pop on a new coil a lot sooner to give the flavor a fair shake.

Okay guys, thank you. I have one coil that has gotten a lot of use and although it fires beautifully, even after rinsing it under a faucet, dry burning and re-wicking the vape tastes off. I wasn't sure if a coil could get "old," but I guess it can. I hadn't run into this issue before, since I switch devices so often, but I think this one might be (lame pun alert) burned out.

I didn't think it was possible, but maybe it is. I'm going to build a new coil tomorrow and will report back.

They definitely do. With Dark Horse lasting so long it's very gradual to the point you barely even notice it until you pop in a new coil. With a super gunky liquid I can tell easily.

I still have the same "chimney coil" build I did in my first R91 when I received it. I had to go back and look, but I took this pic of the build on April 10th. The only thing I have done is rewicking!

Funny. Just rewicked my coil so I could take this picture. My pretty little chimney that's probably approx 7weeks old I'm guessing. Been using it exclusively on HHV's dragon's fire

The infraction I got expired after 6 months. Though I still have an infractions tab on my profile.

I guess i just havnt been around where the mods were really doing anything, but i always miss the excitement.

Does any one know how many infractions till you get banned? Do they expire?
