I would much rather have 1 foot than 15 mm. If it works then I'll have enough to do all of my genisis's. If it doesn't then i'm out 1.42 plus shipping. A no brainer.
Me too, but after thinking about it, 15mm would ensure the tube is stabalized in the wick hole with a minimal amount protruding into the juice, leaving most of the ss or whatever wick exposed in the tank. But will definately post something when I get a MOQ for a coop. I'm so excited (as we all are) to come across all of this!

I could do with 1 ft sections, I just couldn't do with the $20 shipping. Hell, we're both in Ohio, cut it down into 8 6 inch sections, give it a few wraps of bubble wrap, and jam it into a padded mailer.

Not certain, but I think USPS has certain rules on how glass can be mailed - I don't think bubble wrap and a padded mailer would qualify. Besides, if your mailman is anything like mine, you would end up with a lot of 15mm pieces by the time you got it!:)

That's cool and everything, but I would want to make sure this is going to work first before getting feet of it. Jack seems a nice guy. I'm sure it's all about sales though...

Lol, I'm also trading emails with Jack Watson from TGA. Trying to get some more info as to a MOQ for a coop. 1' pieces are $1.42 and maybe 100 will make it worth his while instead of fulfilling the 32 small orders he's recieved so far for this stuff! Too funny! I'll keep ya posted, but TB, keep me in mind if yours works out b4 mine or if mine doesn't, and i'll do the same for you!

Unless someone has tried and has concluded an inner coil/outside mesh or cotton wick surrounding a glass tube is destined to fail, I'm going to give this a try.

Plan is to wrap the 1.5 mm tubes shown below with either 325, 400, or 500 mesh I have on hand and extend the tube surrounded by mesh into the dud tank.

To get current to the teeny tiny diameter coil that I'm going to attempt to stuff inside, I am going to connect an insulated wire to the bottom end of the coil, come out of the end of the tube that is down in the tank, then up and out the fill hole to ground. May do a similar connection for the positive, but I may be able to get away with just the Kanthal up top.

Thinking is maybe this approach will help with getting air to the vaporization surface in a more traditional genesis configuration, and if I can get away with only one or two wraps of wick around the tube, it should greatly improve response time. May even have some volcano action from the capillary tube to help wet the wick. Or flood it.

OD, 1.5 to 1.8 mm; approximate wall thickness, 0.2 mm. Length, 100 mm (ends open).Sold in vials of 100

USPS Flat rate 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" box $11.35. Several pieces could be put in it in a diagonal if necessary. 15mm pieces are going to be someones nightmare cutiing for a coop.

Or go 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" flat rate box for $5.35

I don't think that TBinAZ meant the 15mm as a co-op, he was just going to help people get started with experimenting by passing them out at that size. The co-op idea is for larger pieces. TBinAZ, correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, so here is my input on the matter. I'm going to wheel and deal with TGP to get some sent out to me. Should be enough product for around 150 15mm pieces. I'm assuming, so far, that this is the best workable size of tube right now. If anyone has placed an order with TGP, then cancel it, and I will send out samples for testing to those who are interested. How does that sound? If this works for most, then I will fill in the details when everything is said and done.

Sold I am in.

Unless he mails them in a regular envelope the shipping may be the same as for a protected package of longer lengths.

At that size, 15mm, taped to a piece of cardboard, a regular envelope should work. If by some chance it were to break, the tape would keep the pieces from scattering.

Edit: Somewhere on the envelope it should say "Do not machine process" or something similar to that.
