I love wood stoves! But my little apartment has only electric! Maybe I could do a campfire in the middle of the living room?

They bug me all winterWhat do porcupines do during the winter?
We don't have a back up plan for heat, yet. After losing power several times this summer and once this winter, I am much more concerned about a back up cooling plan for the summer. Blankets, poodles and an outdoor fire made the winter outage bearable, and I didn't lose a refrigerator full of groceries. This summer when the power was out for over three days and temps were in the triple digits...that was torture. Not even gas stove or heater? What happens when there is a frozen tree that takes out the electric? I often wonder how people could cope without a non-electrical back up plan for heat... I don't want you to freeze to death!
