If I don't say good morning does that mean I get to go back to sleep, or would that be considered rude? to_snore.gif

Good Morning Reoville!

rRQKH4h.jpg

Landcaster, PA

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday!

Are you in lancaster? Did you take this picture? Very crisp shot. That watt building is now some fancy hotel which nobody uses. And there are cams on top of those light posts now. The city is teying to go artsy and opened a convention center and stuff. But truth is, once the college kids graduate they get the heck out of there. Its pretty dangerous. Some facts ya'll might not know from"amish" country... First off, which city in the united states has the most concentration if hispanics in relation to its population? New York? LA? nope. Lancaster, Pa. Which city ranks top 10 with the most surveillance cameras? Yup, Lancaster. The amish may be around on the outskirts but the city reminds me of Queens or maybe even the Bronx. Although it is a little trippy to see a beat up ghetto ricer honda with tinted windows stuck in traffic behind a Horse & Buggy. I once picked up an amish man, pretty old guy, and gave him a ride. He seemed very quiet, polite, but nervous. All though I did have Nirvana's R--- Me song on the stereo.

Lancaster, PA has more than 97% hispanic?!!!

List of U.S. communities with Hispanic majority populations in the 2010 census - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

At 95.6%, Laredo, Texas, had the largest percentage of Hispanic or Latinos by population of any city in the United States with over 100,000 population in the 2010 census. However some vies would give this distinction to East Los Angeles, California, since it also had over 100,000 people and its population is 97.1% Hispanic

ETA: here is from the same census regarding Lancaster, PA:

About 45,000 Latinos live in Lancaster County, according to the 2010 census. The census does not track the Amish or plain communities in Lancaster County. But in 2010, the Elizabethtown College center that studies the Amish estimated about 30,000 living in Lancaster County.

The Latino population in Lancaster County has grown by 68 percent in the last 10 years, the fifth-largest gain in Latinos statewide.

In the city of Lancaster, nearly two out of every five city residents identify their ethnicity to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and other Latin American countries.

About half of the county’s Latinos live in the city. The city’s Latino population grew to 23,329 in the last census, an increase of 35 percent.

2/5 is not even close.

Thank you for claiming your city!!!

Also for the information. When I was looking for a pic for you I saw lots of Amish pics. Didn't think you would claim a horse and buggy!!! LOL!

I live in LA, that is how I knew it was impossible
We have a border problem, so I would have thought it would be a border town like Laredo is. I was even surprised it was 97% though.

I know this was a tough post to read and post for us Kay. Please know that we appreciate you being there for him and letting us know.

I pray that the time she has left is spent without pain and in a place she can feel the love and support of family and friends.

I pray that Ray can feel he is doing his best for her at this time.

This is the part of life that memories are made that last forever. I pray that Ray is able to make some of these lasting memories good ones amidst the trials of each day.

((((hugs Kay)))) (((hugs Ray & family)))

Oh Cappy, so sorry. I will continue to pray for both you and your sister, that the time you have together be blessed, and that she doesn't suffer but instead is comfortable and surrounded by your love.

Very sad news indeed, very sad, but in as much as we all know that eventually our time will come we should all be so fortunate to leave in the arms of a caring loved one.

You're doing what a man is supposed to do Cappy and will be rewarded with joyful memories that replace the pain. May God look kindly upon you both.

Poor cappy and his sis!

Please let him know I am thinking and praying for him and his sis. If there is anything I can do, just say the word.
