Another question for my Reo experts. I just received include with a trade I did two batteries. The guy said they are the 16850's. But there is now writing what so ever on them. They are red like my AW Imr's but do not have the button top. They are kinda flat on top and have like little prongs (V shaped) pricky things on the bottom and top. Some are bent down. I used the doohickey thingy from Sterno (Thanks sterno sure putting it to use) and they read out at 4.1 and 4.3. Are these safe to use? Don't want to hurt my Reo Grand!

Sounds like the generics that got included with Lavatubes back when they were the new hotness. They're IMR, but not AW. I'd be concerned about the one that meters over 4.2v, 3.7v batteries are maxed at 4.22 or so.

You can use them, but don't expect AW performance from them, and keep an eye on them on the charger.

I would watch out for your top button on the Grand with those. Flat top batteries change the throw of the button. It could lead to mashing and pin breaking. Plus I like the short throw on my Grand with the button top AWs. Also check your spring compression. If it's flat it could short and you never know it. The spring is a fuse on this model.

Thanks Guys - Maybe the best place for these would be in the garabage can and not the Reo. I have three new AW IMR's and with the cost of batteries it might just not be worth the risks.

I stole my girl's cellphone beanie bag and am using it as a reo placeholder for uneven surfaces like sofa and lumpy carpets, geez why dont I get these ideas before ordering $45 caddies at redsky lol

Good Golly!! Took awhile to catch up today, waking up late is nut conducive to being caught up.

As far as that post belittling our mods and creator.............is he NUTS or what???????? I can't bring myself to chastise peeps that are nut all there, if you know what I mean.

Jen, really sorry that your trip has been delayed and hope your issues are resolved ASAP.

Loved all the doggie posts and pics. Still haven't gotten the rat (dog, for you if ya out of the loop peeps) yet and DW already having frets about it. She definitely doesn't care for anything with four legs but will tolerate them.

IIRC, doors are around 20 bucks, and it comes with the magnets but you have to put them in yourself (it's the only way to guarantee that the polarity of the magnets in the door will play nice with the magnets on the mod).

I've bought 2 doors from Rob, and neither time were they listed as available on the site. Just ask, he'll most likely be able to help you out.
