Aubergine,

Welcome to the 'family'! You are going to fall in love (again). Sounds like you got all the right parts to get started. Now comes the hard part of waiting for USPS to gift you with packages.

Mine is Purple with a Black Cherry door. Just discovered that it looks really nice with either a dark red or Purple Atty;). (VaporKings has them in 901 and 801s).

If you do have a stash of Cartos, you can use them as well, I haven't tried that just because I don't like cartos.

The HV atty you purchased will work great when you try 6V, and you will try 6V, I just know it

I've had mine about about 3 weeks now, and I can honestly say, I have not put it down, it's that good! The only additional tip I can add is to try not to over pump and try not to juice the Atty when it's red hot. 1 slow pump with an 801 will yield about 8-10 really good hits. 501's don't hold as much, so you only get 4 or 5 hits per pump. It's really eaisy to get the hang of it.

Any other questions, ask away, there's getting to be more REONauts around here all the time.:toast:

I have slept, Don makes perfect sense again, (sorry, Boom), I finally absorbed the forum here adequately, and am awfully excited about this. I wanted the cherry (or bloodwood) door too, tho w/o any black in the logo, but am content, and very grateful for the help and kind words. I think it's a little harder for those of us who never did get into 510s and etc. - we two-piecers have to sort of learn two things at once with mods, but it's not exactly rocket science. I do wonder if the flavor/plume will be much different than I get from the V4L, which is also of course a 3.7 batt - I hate the hassle of dripping (just have a friend with a 510 that I tried) and the weird coldness of the vapor. But I go thru a lot of batts fast, and am charging them 10 at a time (i really do chain - the joys of having a private office cannot be overstated), and duration alone is a huge plus.
Thanks for the email, Robert, and the 510 - if the other stuff is late I can still get started right away. You are very kind! Now I start watching the mail every day...
Now will just be watching the mail!

I have had my Reo for several days now, and I LOVE IT! It's a great unit! And it looks great, too. I'm still getting used to how much to push to get the amount of juice I need, but that's just a bit of a learning curve.

I do have a suggestions for the V2 (you always have to have a V2, right?). The brass liquid collector on top. I'd like to see it a little wider, or a little shorter. I get some liquid in there from time to time, and it is hard to clean out because there is so little space between the brass and the connector. It's not a huge deal, but just something to look at if another version is in the works.

On another note, when I first got it, I only had RCR123s, and vaped at 6v. My 18650's came yesterday, and I love them! I always thought 6v was too harsh for me. I look the smoothness of the 3.7v. I couldn't be happier with the unit. This is now the only unit I will use. I even put away my Prodigy Passthrough. You can't go wrong with this one!

Got my REO yesterday afternoon. It's the beautiful #4 Panauk with Maple door.
I understand why some folks here "semi-retired" their Silver Bullet. I have taken the battery out of mine and laid it up to rest for now.

Nothing beats the REO auto juicing device that I can imagine. It's perfection. The large 6 ml juice bottle is speaking for itself in volumes. In a very loud voice too. Also, the juice bottle is light in weight, doesn't add to the exterior profile, and is easily switched out or refilled. That is an extremely good deal. Not to mention the drippers' juice capture reservoir built into the top.

Even the door knob juice button can be easily removed and placed inside, allowing the unit to slim down and be placed in a tight jean pocket like a pack of analogs if needed. And yes, the on/off switch is not in the way either as it is recessed into the beautiful wood.

The awesome reviewers in the videos spoke of the wood being thick and strong. I only now realize how accurate they spoke. The REO is carved out of a block of wood, not glued together from pieces that could contain structural weakness. You really could run over this thing in a car and not hurt it. And, did I mention that the wood is beautiful yet?

Also, the vendor Redeyedancer is a great guy who really showed his concern and passion throughout the ordering process. He's going to be swamped real soon, if he's not already, so be nice to him.

So far, I've tried a LR 501 atty. Wow! Lots of vapor and throat hit. Then I went to the suggested 801. All I can say here is, I understand why this is the default adapter. Tons of vapor and taste.

Now, I have to try the regular and LR 901's that I have. And the different cartos. Someone said the LR 501 cartos from Pro-vape were a must try. I don't know about you, but, God put these folks here on Earth to save me time and heartache, so, I listen to them. Those 501 cartos are definitely on my "hit list".

I'm now waiting on batteries for 6 volts, although I beleive 3.7 will remain my default. One guy suggested an idea ... 6v in the am .... 3v in the pm ... rotation. That sounds like a winner too. Probably the thing to do is to just keep rotating them ... like we do juices .. to keep things from getting old. Unless of course, you find that "sweet spot" combo ... that "zone of vaping heaven" that I will just call ... "Vaporer's Nirvana".

All in all, Let me say I still want a GGTS (as I already have the AFS V2, and I like the GG fanatics) and a Nuck's Fist Pack (with voltage selection on the fly), and maybe the Meucci Moochie and a Cloud Tekk Mod.

But the list of mods I want has suddenly gotten real short now that I have the REO.

I can easily see me buying a "harem" of REO's. She is that fine. She is "ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS".

Place your orders now folks!
Awesome Awesome Write-up

I welcome you into vaping Perfection hell ya!:toast:

Glad everyone loves their Reo! Robert is sending me my replacement Reo free of charge and I can't wait. For anyone who missed it since this thread is growing rapidly, I emailed Robert that my spring had gotten slowly "less springy" due to the heavy 18650 and he told me I had an old version of the mod so he's sending me the new one and I'll send him the old one when the new on arrives. That's excellent service. At this rate Robert will have to buy a larger workshop and a full staff! P.S. Reo Mini is coming out soon and I can't wait.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
...I keep hearing the term 3rd generation. My mind is wondering what this means. My guess is 1st generation = a plain e-cig. 2nd generation = a higher power battery mod. 3rd generation = high power batt mod with juicing capability. Is this close to being correct?

I think you've got it! And BTW, the REO is a fantastic mod. Dependable and simple to use, too. My friend Sterno here in red dirt land started vaping with his!

Thanks folks for the kudos for my little itsy bitsy REO writeup. I can only say that I was just lucky to have great reviewers before me describing accurately what was going on with this device. Following in the footsteps of giants as it were.

You smart folks all knew that what you had in your hands was indeed "The Real McCoy".

And to Amajn, my writeup was "peanuts" compared to your videos. You shined the light in the darkness onto the correct path my man. Anyone who doesn't "see it" after watching them ... well, let me just say .. I would have to question the template they are using to analyse and screen their PV purchases. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO GET ONBOARD WITH THE REO after watching your videos. They were from the heart dude. So thanks a million for doing them and sharing them with us.

(side note: I gotta learn how to cut and paste previous folk's quotes. Hmmm, I guess I jumped out of the beginner's forum a little prematurely, huh?)
