i like big airy atties, partly because i am too vain to wear glasses when rebuilding and partly because i cloud chase. Anything i'm vaping with lives in a phone case on my belt, so they are never laid sideways, which is fatal for atties like Velocities and Dark Horses.

Like @muzichead i've used 3mm RxW for years now and i cannot remember the last time i made a coil because i had to, or the last time i rewicked to be honest - it's been months.

i got into Reos in the first place because of the minimal maintenance needed and ease of getting a decent vape out of it; i just carried on the same thinking to the toppers i use. Tanks are fiddly and picky to set up imo and when i used cotton, i'd ruin a wick in 2 days.

i read that rayon and even bamboo has a better lifespan, but i'm not vaping unflavoured juice so i can get maximum wick life.

I have 2 and 2 of the o atty clones $10,RM2 is built better but blindfolded I could not tell the difference
You talking about the O16 clones at Fasttech? I've thought trying one to see if I'll like it. The RM3 is holding up just fine though. I ordered a bunch of single coil A6 attys (RM3) for $3.00 a piece, and drilled them out myself. Works like a charm, and with a "Shorty" drip tip on the RM3... I get plenty of TH, Flavor, and Kick! I would love to try the O16 though. I just can't see myself paying $100 for the authentic. Maybe the clone will work... that is if the construction is good.

I run duals in mine, but I think a number of folks do a "z" - called that cuz the leads/coil make kind of a z shape...
Here's a quick google-pic...
You get to position the airflow where you want it. With this coil pictured, I'd probably go for "clear" spots right around 12:00 and 6:00 where air can hit the coil...

How are y'all mounting a single coil in the O Little? At an angle to the airflow?

Mine look just like that. I use 26g 316L SS. 2.5mm dia. coil. I position the air holes just about where 12:00 and 6:00 would be in the picture.

I do it just like I did with my RM2's and Chalices. My coils are small tho, and not low Ω's so that probably makes a difference.

That's exactly how I do mine, then I only have one air hole open
right in front of the coil.

Looks like they used an entire cotton ball or pad in that coil!!! Not much air getting to that one.
