the Bartleby will do both USB and Batts If you can find one..

Bartleby

I have both the Fistpack and Bartleby.. I wish I would have found this forum before I purchased the Direct E-Cig, and then, Cig2o. I would have went straight for the mods first.

I love being able to switch voltages on the Fistpack to get the best flavor and throat hit from different e-juices, but truth be told, I find myself reaching for the Bartleby more often. It is a VERY well-built and handy unit. Paired with a LR atty, it produces clouds of satisfying vapor, and nice throat hits. Mine has a low-profile ball-bearing button that has a nice action. The 14500 900mAh 3.7 battery seems to last forever, and 2 were included. Throw-in the USB charging capability, and epoxy sealed electronics inside, and you have IMO, one of the best vaping devices for the $$ out there. :vapor:

Can you tell I like the Bartleby?

To keep sorta on-topic, I am expecting the arrival of The Phidias Woodimus Feedimus in paduk with paduk inlays this week... With the addition of this bottom-feeder along with the Fistpack and Bartleby, I will have a well-rounded collection for a newbie that should keep me happily vaping for a long time to come.. :headbang:

I used a bartleby for 10 months before getting my Ali'i. It sure was a handy mod, always consistent and great for the money. Although the USB cords kept dying on me and eventually the USB charger died on my girlfriend's, it wasn't a big deal to just start changing out the battery. Definitely a great starter mod; no it is not a "juice box" mod, but a great buy!

Technonut: go my first FP coming next week and always wonted to try the Bartleby so it looks like it just got pumped up on the list of have to have. LOL

I have a Phidias Woodimus Nice Juice mod. you can not go wrong with Juice Mods. I love them. Made my life much easer.. :)

MXBNW Glad to hear your praise of the Phidias... I checked-out most of the reviews on it, and it will seem to make vaping easier. I realize that I am not getting one from the original maker, but I personally like the idea of the acrylic back feeder button instead of wood. I would think that humidity could possibly cause the wooden button to stick. It is the same feed design, and should do the job. Especially for the price I purchased it for compared to the original.. ;)

Liking mods like you seem to, I am certain you would appreciate the Bartleby. It is alot of quality and punch in a small package.

I love the Fistpack also.. It is well-built and classy. The only worry I have about it is battery replacement when needed. It is not a Nuck-built unit AFAIK, so I can't send it to him. I did download the build guide, but from what I understand, the battery is soldered-in. But for $130.00 on the for sale forum, I couldn't pass it up, and am happy with the build and performance.

Got my Phidias (#10) from NHaler Saturday, saved $50. You won't be disappointed. Like you said the acrylic button might slide easier than wood. Thinking about adding some type of nice looking slight button extension to get just a little more throw to the bottle, but no big deal. The box is so beautiful, belongs in a museum case with velvet ropes around it. Almost hate to vape out of it. You will love it.

tobarger, I picked up 2 of the phidias from nhaler...I should be receiving them any day...couldn't resist the color combos available and the price .... 110 minus 10%-->includes shipping...I like it ...can't go wrong.

I do wish that the power button was the same as that found on the ALI"I and the Journeyman. The one on my phidias just misses occasionally as did the BB which had the exact same switch.

Question...what did your phidias from nhaler come with?....attys? bottles? anything?

I did buy the phidias from fono with the wooden button...it's very nice. I'm just hoping the ones from nhaler are a fraction as good.

I started vaping on the 901. Loved it, but grew frustrated with cartridges and battery life after 2 months. That frustration led me back to my old analogs. I have come back to vaping because I knew I could do it with the right device. Got a REO mini last week and have been vaping 70% of the time. Can't wait to re-start my vaping counter once the last 8 analogs are gone!

I'm glad you made it back. I went through a similar issue, but I started with the Blu. I have been carcinogen free and that is largely thanks to my mini REO. What color did you get? I got the red anodized.

Here is a photo of the (3) REO Mods Its was posted today by Rob owner of REO.

1. Wood REO 2. REO Grand (New) REO Mini

REO Grand looks, well... grand!

Very tempted to get one, but I'm waiting for an Ali'i... and I wonder if they're too similar and redundant?

Anyone own both, or a metal REO and a Wood bottom feed, and find that they serve different purposes?

Or can you never have too many mods?

Now that I know which eLiquid flavors, strengths and vg/pg mixes that I like, (huge thanks to my beloved eGo!!), I am more than ready for a REO.. or Alli'l... and if at anytime I try a new flavor or mix I won't have to change bottles because my eGo will still be handy. I love my eGo(s) and if it weren't for them I'd still be smoking analogs while waiting for the Reo to be available. Naturally, I'll want a mini and a grand... one for 0nic fun flavors and one for 18mg tobacco flavors. ouch, but some day... eventually my payday and the availablility of the Reo will stride hand in hand. Meanwhile, I'll go vape my eGo and love the wait. :vapor:

I have all the REO's (the grand is now and will be coming soon)

I like the Wood REO for long trips or at the desk, the REO mini is my pocket mod or special juice mod. Each has a place in my Mod line up.

My wife uses the Mini all the time it replaced her EGO she loves that she only has to fill it or change the batteries every day or so pending how much she vaps.
Mini runs on a 14500 and 3ml bottle and is easy to carry extra stuff. We use a 14500 batty case to pack stuff around.

So I don't know if I should post the following but for the sake of those interested:

BATTLE ROYALE

The FONO Phidias vs the other vendors Faux Phidias

In this corner

THE FONO Phidias Woodimus Feedimus

I purchased the Phidias Woodimus Feedimus from Fono but then I saw "the sale" of the Phidias from the vendor who shall not be named but I'm sure you all have an idea who it is. The reason?....I'm not a genius but @ 110 minus 10% discount I had to bite. Couple the price with the fact that they had the color combos that really interested me, I figured, why not? Also, a bit of me wanted to see the differences for myself.

Shipping times:
I received the Fono Phidias on Saturday, 10/23 and the Other Phidias' on Monday, 10/25. Shipping times from both were pretty much the same(about 3 days from order).

Having received the Fono Phidias first(just the way I wanted it) I was excited when I opened it but I won't go into an all out review because, well, I already did that, but if your interested in reading it well have at it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-phidias-celebration-sale-68.html#post2072958

So I vaped using the Fono Phidias exclusively Saturday night through Monday Morning...very nice...found my comfort zone with the button and the more I used the Fono Phidias, the more I got the pride of ownership feeling and the more I liked this device in my hand...just couldn't put it down.

So Monday arrives and the package from the Other place arrived. I opened up the package and well the following was included:

1 The Phidias Woodimus Feedimus Woodgrains: #2. Light Maple with wenge inlays

1 The Phidias Woodimus Feedimus Woodgrains: #5. Purple heart with paduk inlays

4 attys 2 w/each Phidias

1 pouch

4 tube samplers of ejuice

Now, yes very nice to receive all the extras and for that I'm thankful but it really has no bearing on the review of the device but it does have to do with the value of the purchase and for that reason, I felt I should include it.

ON TO THE DEVICES:

In the other corner:

The Pretender Contender and challenger....

....The #2. Light Maple with wenge inlays

So I started with the #2. Light Maple with wenge inlays(for reference) and I opened it and the colors are very nice. The differences I noticed right away was the corners are not smooth and rounded like the FONO Phidias they are more sharp and cut. The next thing I noticed is the juicing button. The juicing feed button is acrylic, not wood(as what was advertised on the web site) and the finger hole is smaller, much smaller...made more for a women's finger than a mans and this became irritating. Upon opening the door I noticed that the spring mechanism for the juice button is different also...they chose to use a metal pin held on to the wood with what would seem to be hot glue. Also the wiring is technique is a bit different but who am I to criticize. The most apparent difference(besides those I mentioned) is the way the door fastens to the body...it's not the perfect fit that I found on the Fono authentic Phidias, you know.

As for vaping...hey, it does work as it's suppose to as does the auto juicing but I'll tell yeah...maybe I have fat fingers but the acrylic button is TOO small...my finger is hurting...I think I'd rather take the lid off...maybe it's just me but Fono's button is perfect!

Now on to the #5. Purple heart with paduk inlays:

Well, hey I know what you're thinking...why do a separate review for each, right? I'll tell you why, this one took a turn for the worse. I mean the color and wood is very nice but again the corners are not rounded but the differences and shortcomings are numerous. Again, the acrylic button is there and fastened the way the other was but I noticed the door has a bit of a gap at the top and bottom and it just does have the fit it should...it looks...well too small for the body..perhaps it came from another device? Perhaps it was cannibalized to complete a body? I just don't know. So I went to put in my battery (AW18650 2200mah) which, in my humble experience, is my smallest 18650 battery...it simply did not fit...the body was too some by a mm...It took some tapping of the connectors but I did get it in...now I fill the bottle with juice and put the cover back on and the cover rocks a bit.

Well both of the wannabes(Phidias not made by Fono) work but they seem to be knock offs not worthy of the name they are being sold under(imho).....do they vape nicely...well...yes. I'm going to keep them, they will serve me well but I thought I should let others know that sometimes....yes usually...you really do get what you pay for.

So it was a battle and each one scored points but if you are looking for THE Quality Phidias there can be only one and that's the FONO Phidias....Still CHAMPION.

VAPE ON

and if this post helps only one person, then I'm happy I have typers cramp and it was all worth it.

Thanks FONO for making an original work that works and puts on a pedestal what American Wood Craftsmen Can Do when they put their minds to it - I raise a goblet to you in a toast to your thoughtful creativity!

Some may look at what the 110.00 gets you, some bottles, some attys, some juice. They see bargain , I see filler. What I got for paying a little more for my phidias by purchasing it from the creator was an actual phidias made to be a feedimus version with the button to match my inlay on the front, but most importantly I have piece of mind that if anything ever goes wrong Fono stands behind his creation 100%. Anytime I am gonna sheel out that kind of money I want the real deal, not a knock off retrofitted to keep up with the times. I am not saying that they are not authentic phidias's because they are. But if anyone has one to compare to the other you can see and feel the differences. A great Review Drum!! Not too many people have the resources to be able to compare the 2 versions and I think that it will be of great help to those on the fence about whether to purchase the retrofits from Nhaler or the real thing from Fono.

I don't know which vendor you're talking about (no need to name names), but I am curious how he/she can get away with selling what is almost a counterfeit product. A knock-off is one thing, but if it's being marketed with the same name, well that's downright WRONG. I would have serious pause purchasing anything from such a vendor. Unless, of course, this vendor was given permission to make these variations, in which case Fono might have made a bad call. Inferior versions of his product, be they built from actual ones or not, will ultimately hurt the reputation of the original.

I think the vendor and the builder have an agreement.. both are good people.. I have bought from both.. I am sure there is no wrong doing.
