Sometimes it takes harsh judgment, for someone to realize the truth. As Harsh as that may sound, It benefits the person in the long run.
For example I used to be 210lbs, pretty ripped, went to the gym 4-6 hours a day. Then I met my girlfriend now about 4 years ago and I stopped working out, and how do you say "Let myself go".
I didn't realize how bad my health actually got until I ran into an old friend I have not seen in years and he said "Man you got fat". Now that comment did hurt, but I realized HE WAS RIGHT, I had gained 40lbs (not muscle).
His comment no matter how bad it hurt HELPED ME by making me realize I had let myself go, therefore I lost weight and improved my health, therefore helping me in the long run, because if he wouldn't have said that I would have went on and probably put on 80lbs or more.
Fair enough... Old friends are my family too.
Still if we want to have zero tolerance..
If you see someone eating bacon... we must help them.. or ice cream, drinking coffee, drinking alcohol.. Where do we draw the line?
Bungee jumping, parachuting or what?
Heck vaping isn't exactly healthy.. It may well be better than smoking (I think so but have no scientific proof) still it isn't exactly healthy.
My point is coming to a public forum to chastise this woman/man does exactly what for her? It does nothing but give people a chance to thump their chest on vaping is it. Yes, I realize it is a vaping forum but still... it demonized her.
If someone wants to smoke, let them smoke. If they are hacking and coughing, say your piece and go on with life thinking how much better you are than them. Not you in particular, but in general.
You lost weight.. good for you getting healthy. I did the same. Basically same reasons... wife liked when I ate a lot of her cooking.
