Hey All - just checking in on the
thread. To draw a comparison between Bloog and V4L - IMHO, the Bloog MaxX reigns supreme, hands down. With that said, I used V4L product, and other rebranded KR8 product from a number of other vendors. The KR8 is what got me off the choke sticks, the MaxX sealed the deal.
Bloog is only a distributor - however, Leaford works for Bloog in China, is responsible for product development and has, to my understanding, created a line of product that is PROPRIETARY to Bloog. In other words, what Bloog sells here in the States comes from a single manufacturer (Chinese) and is only distributed by Bloog. The reason why the Bloog is so different than all other KR808D-1 compatible product is that it was redesigned from the ground up based on Leaford's engineering recommendations.
My guess is that V4L, after losing Leaford and watching the unprecedented success of the MaxX line - is trying very hard to catch up to MaxX tech - and I do believe they are playing hard to catch up. I have not tried the diamond line with the "bejeweled" bottoms, but, knowing that it took Leaford at least a year of engineering, development, testing and QA to release the MaxX - I would be hard pressed to think that V4L would have anything even remotely similar to the Bloog only 2 months after the release of MaxX line.
Now, on to cartos - Leaford designed the WOW cartos - and yes, I agree, they were good - but absolutely fall short of the newly redesigned MaxX cartos - I mean, by at least 300% to 400% improvement in quality, reliability, vapor production, taste -the updated Bloog tech is so vastly superior to the V4L stuff - from personal, first hand, side by side experience - that I won't be going back to V4L, at least not in the near future.
One of the other issues I have with BOTH Bloog and with V4L - is that their
juice is Dekang - which is good, high quality, pharma-grade product, but, it is Dekang 100% PG - I've grown to love an 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG mix which is ultimately smoother without losing the TH.
I don't know what else I can do to compare these two products. I am now currently a Bloog user, and will be for a very, very long time. And, with even more advancements I hear are in the works at Bloog - I can say that this product line is only going to get better, and better, and better...
