I've alway's found the wick in the 306 to be the culprit for "burnt" taste
, once it get's burn't, it'll alway's taste burnt when it start's to dry a bit.

Did you clean the attys before first time use?
Joye atty's come with a primer in them. Best thing to do(on a 306) is blow them out first, add 6 drops, give a couple quick pulls(without firing) and add two more drops and vape. then top off as necessaryYes I did. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to, but they seemed to have some sort of fluid on them.
Got my Vmod XL and this thing rocks. Going on 24 hours of battery and juice. Highly recommended.
My second one came in today all ready got loaded up and ready to go![]()

Very impressive those long blue Vapage 18650s. First battery to ever last me 24+ hours. Maybe its because it takes so many tries to get it to fire with the XL button ;-) but seriously, it starts out without that initial first overvoltage and stays level for a LONG time. Won't connect in some chargers and too long to fit a spacer. But what a performer!
You are right Fernand, these things rock. My experience with them mirrors yours exactly (almost completely flat for over 24 hours). I do have some thin spacers that work with them though, they are a little bigger around but half the thickness. I wish I could remember where I got them, but hopefully it will help to know they are out there! Fires the first time, every time!
only issue I have had so far is it seems to have a low tolerance for how far you screw in the inner collar. If I tighten it down to far there is not enough thread exposed and the cone will pop off. Also on occasion the inner collar will stay in the cone when I unscrew it. I wouldn't really call these issues just something that has happened BTW.
Here for some really thin spacers....6mm Battery Spacers
I used one of these to try a flat top imr I got from electronicstixs in the XL.....
