What resistance cartos do you guys/ladies find works best with the XL? I am use to the SR but assuming I would want LR cartos with it

What i ordered today. Some more shorty carto's, this time i got this kind: Shorty 1.7 Ohm 510 Cartomizer
(Style: Translucent Acrylic) i ordered 10 of them plus from the same place i ordered the 510 Voltage Indicator meter Rev2 (ty forthrok) i just didn't want to wait for madvapes to get more of them
But i went to madvapes and got this Gripper 510 Extension because the other place doesn't carry it, smh.
Of course i got more stuff from 2 other sites. Now I will have lots of vape mail coming this week. I am exhausted...

Come back and let us know if the acrylic shories fit with the Vmod cone. I was worried to get any since I'd seen comments that they were too big for the cone to fit over. It'd be nice to know there might be an alternative since the metal shorties often sell awfully fast. Particularly the 2ohm ones!
Ok, will let you know BUT as usual i didn't think that one all the way through with the see thru carto's because if they do fit then the cone will cover the cart anyways

Does anyone know if the insides of the vmod can be purchased separately like the covers are?

I'm getting a bit of vape mail this week, too! Not as much as before...when my direction was still in exploratory mode (that went on a year and half...got expensive!) Now I'm settled with my Vmod, things are more simple, but I still need stuff. Getting 20 super shorty cartos, another 18650 flattop battery, and 3 bottles of Menthol Sensation from MVS in 0 nic (I add about 3ml. of it into my 60ml. bottles of DIY menthol. It just adds a little something. Kind of like adding a seasoning to a recipe). I also ordered another bottle of PG from Amazon.
But the biggie thing was I ordered a new shell for my Vmod XL..."Cracks"!!! I saw a picture of it on page 232 of this thread and fell in love. HAD to have it! Got a scare when I ordered it early last Friday...and I never got a shipping notice from Vapage. I thought for sure it was a mistake on their website and they didn't REALLY have Cracks in stock. That was what was holding up my order (I also got some Silos and some drip tip sets). I was beyond freaked...thinking that my dreaming of that shell for the previous 3 or 4 weeks was in vain.
But! I just got the shipping notice today! And I double checked and "Cracks" is listed as having shipped, too! WOOT!!!!!
I don't think you can get the chassis separate...but sure wish you could! Maybe someone on the classies would sell one. Dunno. I know if Vapage did offer them...I'd be on it in a skinnit!

I am glad my search for the perfect vaping device is over. Not really because of the money involved but because of needing the perfect no-fiddle way to vape.That is what is important to me. I have tried everything and so far this is the best.
As for carto's vs clearo's I will admit that Vivi Nova clearo's are nice even though not good with bottom feeders so i keep one on my pass-through. I read somewhere that atty's do best with thick juice so that leaves it out of my use for it.

I came to not like the clearos, really. Guess wicks and I don't get along any better than atomizers and I do.
I did love carto tanks...and I got pretty proficient with them. Got hubby using them, and he still does, and loves 'em. I'd be using carto tanks still ha,d I not taken the Vmod plunge.

I've been using just ONE (at a time until spent)...and using it until it tastes funky. I haven't managed to kill one (where it won't fire) yet. But I do wish they'd last just a BIT longer for me. That's why I was asking. How are they doing for you?

fourthrok, i am still on the original that came with the kit. I got it on may 1st so this is my 6th day It still tastes and works great!!!

I think the person was saying Thick Juice good with attys because Thick Juice isn't the best with carto's. YMMV with the various clearomizers.
Any v-liquid will work with an atty. I use some of my thicker juices with my Vmod and atty, juices that kill a carto rather rapidly.
This is my understanding of history and might help:
E-cigs were originally 3 part. Battery, atty and Cartridge. (A mouthpiece that held filler & liquid that fit over the atty coil). Atty's would sometimes last a few days up to a few weeks. One could re-fill the cartridge frequently by adding a few drops of liquid. (And before too long many started "dripping" and drip tips were invented.)
Then came out 2 part. Battery and Cartomizer. A cartomizer is a hybrid of cartridge and atty all in one piece and includes filler and was made to be disposable. (later the carto tank was invented)
Then came out clearomizers. Clear see through tube, wick, wire or coil of some sort --no filler.
The vivi's, stardusts, evods and many more are versions of Clearomizers.....and have become worthy of popularity in the past year or so.
Bottom Feeders were developed to feed the atty (and replace dripping). The great news is that the Vmod also works very well feeding a carto.

Did I read right somewhere that you could also not use the juice bottle and stick a tank on the vmod where you would normally out the carto? Not that you would every really want to but is nice to have that option if for some reason you did not have any juice bottles.
I suppose technically you "could" put a tank on the Vmod...in a pinch. But since the cone holds the shell onto the chassis, you'd have to have a 510/510 extender (or a couple of them) to raise the tank high enough to clear the cone. Might work...but might not. Haven't really tried.

Yes...I'm a "menthol junkie". I don't vape anything else. Oh, I've tried. But didn't like anything else, so I just stick with menthol. My recipe isn't secret science...it's pretty basic. I'll PM you. Menthol Sensation has long been a great favorite with me for premade juice. It's a very icy menthol with a great "bite" to it. Not tobacco based. Might could loosely compare it to Kool.

I don't. Was trying to help Crocky with a question he/she had. Not interested in the A7 either. At least not at this time.
Just a teensy bit of a warning to anyone who wants to put adapters into the connector of their VMOD. You can, but do it with the knowledge of my incredibly bad experience. I wanted to use a 901 atty in mine and one of our dearest VMODians sent me a modded adapter so that I could use that atty. Welpie welp. The adapter got totally stuck inside and it took 3 of us the better part of a day to remove it. Sweat ran rampant. So did swear words.
