No modding needed. One thing, I going to drill a hole on the atomizer cap. Air comes from bottom. I'm going to make it air tight to the bottle. Got used to the vapor on my Phoenix, So hopefully that work.

How well does the feeding from the bottle work? Is the juice going up the center where air feeds in:confused:

Just got this today. It's an A7 rebuildable atomizer from Empire Mods.
Well it leaked today,Back to the drawing broad. I can't use the atomizer to lock in everything. Going to have to make tin shield hole bigger and lock in place to plastic body. Atomizer is ok. I did make a 1/16 hole on cap need to mess with it a little more.

WOW ... although I am subscribed to the thread, I got lolhahaha's post tonite and see I missed a couple days worth of posts; y'all are crazy; Vmodia crazy :) Kicks, rba's now, this and that; it's cool, but for me I like it with just the shifu hybrid 1.5 Ohm.
.
I got 8 in 4 paks when they had the 50% discount, after seeing how great they were in the original 2 pak I bought before the 50 off.
I killed one right away on my Reo Grand which must have been a fluke because I still have the first one I put on the XL and it vapes as good as it did the first day. It's been at least a few weeks i guess.
I have another on an eGo batt, and it KILLS. These things just don't go bad.
Before the shifu, I was using the Aero hybrid which is good too, but at the Vapage price... these are built very similar, and similar to the HH357; just not hand made.
In my experience the hybrids at 1.5 Ohm are not hot at all... it's surprising. I used to use SR all the time because typically the conventional 1.5 is too hot. May be just me, but I recommend the 1.5 hybrids. 1.5 Ohm's fire every time, and you don't need a Kick or VV.

Wow. Yeah I love my Vmod XL, and I use it every day on the road. I can't believe how long the IMR 18650 lasts on it and the bottle is HUGE so it's like always ready and I chain vape the heck out of it.
At home I use the eGo shifu, and 2 HH357 1.5's (Reo and Vmax), and a Fatty V2 rba on my Provari (very nice).
The shifu is a SURE thing. It gives the most consistent vape of all of them, every time.

I'm always worried I'm going to burn out an HH357 with too many dry hits; other than the bottm feeders, I drip, and it happens; not knowing how much juice is left in the atty when i pick one up. I've been averaging a month with them and that's too pricey (they are a bit better overall than the shifu, even if a bit more finicky).

But with the new 20% off discount code I'm thinking of getting more shifu BF hybrids. The XL's Vapage d/t slides off pretty easy and it's easy to check the wick and coil to see if it's wet. For the price it's a no brainer... I can't kill these things.

sorry so wordy... it's that crazy hour.

When they had the 50% off I ordered a bunch of the 1.5's as well. The thing is I also bought 6 of the 2.5's thinking they were the same thing. Nothing on their site said they were the old version otherwise I'd have bought the 2.0's instead. Its just on my VV mod I prefer 2.5 ohm. I haven't burnt one of the 2.5s out yet but I did notice that they aren't nearly as good as the 1.5s and I couldn't figure it out since they were "supposed" to be the new version. I guess its too late to raise hell now, even though 2 of my 2.5ohm packages are unopened.

I was about to use the 20% off code and stock up on more but I'll pass. I ordered stuff from another site instead.

Talk about fast shipping. I just ordered a few 5packs of the Shorty Cartos from Surevapes for 6.50 a pack and they shipped them within an hour of my order while i was reading through this thread lol. I've been reading that some are reporting those last over a month each. I guess I'll have to find out lol.

My HH357 901 1.5 Ohm just died today on my Reo... I think it may be that the XL is more a sure thing where feeding is concerned. I can't seem to "squonk" or blind squonk (Reo terms for feeding) it consistently; especially with the 901. Like I never know how much juice is in the atty and i hate overfeeding it. TOo many dry hits; the coil lights up red but only see it if vaping in the dark. I think it's been 2 weeks... no more buying backups of HH357 for a good while... it's going to be shifu b/f hybrid attys. The 20% discount is good 'til 9/24.

It's been several months now and my Vmod XL has been extremely reliable. And, surprisingly durable. Dropkickable. I work on houses and vehicles and I drop things on a regular basis; mostly my cell phone. And, of course, whatever else I have on hand, which is usually my ecig. The Vmod seriously rocks and I doubt any of the other bottom feeders would hold up as well in such environments (my clumsiness, really).

I cant seem to recall anyone posting anything about the New chassis:unsure: Can anyone that has sent one back in for a new, recent replacement chime in here and let us know the difference? Also, if anyone would, what was the turnaround time for a replacement(now after Quick turnaround was en stated) ?

TIA:)

I'm subscribed, but didn't receive anything about the new discount code. I guess I will contact them.

I have a question.

Sometimes, when I press the button on my vmod2.0, it doesn't "fire" right away.
It may have something to do with the fact that I noticed I need to press the button pretty much head-on, so if I'm on the edge of it instead of in the middle, it might not fire.

Again, arthritic hands, you never can tell if you're using enough pressure with things or not, I imagine if I had my grip strength tested it would be way below any normal person's.

Also thinking at some point, wouldn't that spring at top may need replacement? But see no option for ordering that---wouldn't that spring eventually get worn out?

BTW, I've been using the shifu atty in 2.0 and like it. I had a package of 1.5's so decided to give them a whirl.

It did spit a little, but mostly, I am just one of those people who can't vape LR.....I tried, and I coughed all over the place. I have 2 vmods, so I put the same juice in both mods to test and make sure it wasn't the too high nic that was making me cough. I am learning the finer things like what throat hit is all about.......I wasn't sure exactly what that was when I started. As it turns out......I HATE a lot of throat hit. I know for many that is important, as it is a sensation that makes you feel like you just got a HIT of something......as it turns out, it is just not a pleasant sensation for me after all.

I guess if I had to give a thought overall, the 2.0 is borderline too cool for me, and the 1.5 is way too hot. I know that's a very fine measurement span  , but if I could really calibrate, I'd go down one or two small ticks on the 2.0....like 1.8-1.9. In other words, 2.0 is an "almost" for me.

This only applies to this particular atty of course......I tried to vape on a 1.8ohm vision clearo the other day and it's just way tooooooo hot for my tastes.

So, am I learning something here....I am thinking now that a VV bottom feeder would *solve* my problem. Oh no, not another purchase. :bangs head: I'll just work w/what I've got fer now. :)

Race, sometimes the on/off positioning of the fire button is the culprit. It's easy to accidentally move the button towards off, and if so, then it might not fire. Some people have reversed their batt polarity for a better connection.

If neither of these work, then do get your grip tested. If the grip tester is tall dark and handsome, just have him press the button for ya...

Take a look at this. I ordered 14500 batteries from Vapage. One set has white centers, the others are black. Also notice, they are 2 different heights.

Of note, I can actually fire off my atty a little bit with the Vmod2.0, while it is in the OFF position, using the black batts.

I would think the longer ones would cause that, not the shorter ones?

Also wondering, which of these batts is older stock and which is newer.....can anyone look for me? Or did they just change the size recently?
