I just ordered another batch of 1.5 B/F hybrid attys... noted; shifu only please.
thanks to the info on 50 off...
btw, i tried to throw an XL in my cart and looks like they're OOS since they won't go into the cart; get hung up on the color selection...good thing as I don't need more APV. (i mean when i go to choose a color, there's no selection and it stops right there.)

HOT BATTS... whenever I have my batts sit in the charger for more than a few minutes after going green, they get hot... no worries.. been doing that for a long time and no noticeable problems. note: I have Pila and another charger that reduces when it gets full.I can't vouch for other chargers.

I just threw an XL kit in the cart no problem. Check your browser? You can only pick silver anyway. If you want black, pick the ala carte set but then they are OOS on the separate tanks. I'm sure the VMOD XL will sell out though soon, it did last time on this sale and they got hammered. I'm surprised they are running such a deep sale again so soon but hey, it's not for me to wonder, just order! :)

sounds like trouble Race.
Uke, the batts that are getting hot are the newer black topped ones that I photo-ed here, they are also shorter.

And they are hot way before the charger light turns green..........charger is still red.

The ones that came w/original kits were white topped. These ala carte ones are black and shorter.

I did write to CS to see if they did, indeed, change their battery spec. I know they don't work weekends, so I'll wait til monday to see what they say.

7439, the first step is to vape it naked. (OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Fall is in the air.)

Take off the cone and shell and watch it as you vape. Having said that, I would give it a nice bath before the first step, so the first step is now the second step.

Race, I've used all batts in my XL including IMRs, protected and even the green 4.8v (which I adore... they are ultra warm tho). I'd suggest my preference, which is the AW IMRs, also for the baby VMOD. The Pila charger and the Xtar both have a very fine reputation. I imagine you can't go wrong with either one, and kudos on choosing RTD. Love love love them. Randy is super!

Yes, Randy was super duper responsive, as in, I received a response in less than 10 min after my email.....on a Saturday! True small business owner, he gets it. And yes, I"m happy to buy there.

Thanks for the advice I needed to make a purchase.

I think I'm going to try to climb the mnt. of simple DIY juice next................:)

I ALWAYS go with AW and IMR because I insist on LR atmomizers for a 3.7 device... (and IMR is safe chem).
I even use them on my VV's. Keepin it uniform, I have about 8 IMR 18650 AW's for a few devices, and 4 sets of 18350's for a couple others.

If I get 18650 AW IMRs for the XL, do I need 2000mAh or the 1600mAh? I just asked a vmod pal this in a pm but I'll ask here too. I am about to make a large purchase and don't wanna mess it up.

I pulled out some LR stuff today and used it on the vmod2.0. Just not for me. The "hotness" reminds me too much of smoking analogs, I guess I"m just one of those who is not really looking for the same experience in vaping as I did in smoking. Well, I'm learning, I guess I'm kinda slow, but only about 1-1/2 months into vaping so there are just things I don't even know about MYSELF let alone all this equipment and batts and chargers n' stuff!

I'm glad I had some 1.5 shifus and 1.8 silos to try this out with though. I hadn't really tested them and want to place an order again. Now I'm sure of what I WANT.

I APPRECIATE all the hand-holding ya'll have provided to me lately. I'll be up and running soon. JUst wanna get my vape together so I can relax off this and get onto .........the Breeders Cup races which are 1st week in November, and farm chores, which is going to be pretty much ALL of October. I've had burn piles stacked for over a year now, and a whole lotta stuff i"ve let go.

So, I hve to have my vape-act together and it's just starting to all come together now! So thanks! I had a few rocks in the road, but that is over now. :)

I've been vaping almost 3 years, like a fiend, and I just recently got into LR... again, after a year of SR, but with VV. LR has a range; 1.5 (or less for RBA) to 2.0 - 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0 Ohm.
The reason i go with 1.5 is because 1. they are sure to fire up enough vapor with a 3.7 (non VV) device. 2. The hybrids imo are not as hot as say a Cisco or conventional LR atomizer.
2.0 Ohm shifu might do it for you, and so may a 2.5, but I don't see how folks get enough power from the Vmod for 2.5 Ohm consistently.

As far as batts, I go with 1600 AW IMR.... 1. they fit most 18650 pv's... the 2000 is slightly taller; not sure that's an issue with the XL. 2. The 1600 is showing (from what i recall) on a graph, slightly better sustained output than the 2000, which is good for LR atomizers, which demands more draw from a battery. They are both good for sure. You may get a tad more time from the 2000.

The 1600's and 2000's are surprisingly the exact same size (I have both sitting here), but yes the 1600's hold a higher voltage for longer than the 2000's so you actually get to use more of the mA's before it gets weak.

I've got one from about 4 months ago. This 2000 is a good 2mm taller than the 1600.

No, that's not all I'm gonna say. As I just told a dear one in a PM... just carry at least 5 devices with you and forget all about mah.

Ma, on the other hand, is definitely important.

Where is that hand over mouth emoticon when you need it ....

That is as close as I can get lol

Must confess to keeping with the 1600 mAh's as always carry 2 PV's and change the battery's every day. Can't really see the point in waiting for them to run out and that leads to a rather anemic vape and leads to the risk of the battery running out when least convenient....in other words far away from any spares !

Intolerable situation for me so I don't let it happen. Means I spend less time explaining to policemen that I nearly killed an idiot employee as my PV didn't work anymore, you know those incidental things in life.

Can you guys help me out? I won a Vapage VMOD about a week and half ago. It worked fine, batteries seem to be charging from red to green but now it just quit working. My fire button depresses but it seems either to not get a good connection and I can feel it rubbing against the plastic as I depress it.

I've topped up my juice, unscrewed, rescrewed cartomizer, tried a new cartomizer, tried fiddling with the battery. Nothing works. If you guys can't help, guess I'm off to send an email to Vapage.
