Kinda peeved. Over the last week I've been fitting my VMXL with the DNA12 from Evolv for VW vaping. It was a snug fit. It entailed cutting the chassis slightly. It involved cutting the pos and neg springs. It involved a few, OK, a buncha cuss wordz. I got it in. It was all hooked up. I went to fire @ ~8-9w and NOTHING! Grrr. Contacted Brandon @ Evolv. He's a super guy with excellent CS. Sent pics of the set-up. After he reviewed my modification he found nothing amiss and asked that I return the circuit. No problem.

EXCEPT!!! I had to Band-aid the cut springs and temporary rig all the mechanical parts of the VMXL to be able to work with the Kick. It's acting all hinky and doesn't wanna fire half the time, now. Reeeeeaallly frustrating.

Just venting. Move along. Nothing to see here.

BTW, Yes, I'll post pics of the final production of the VmodXL with WV AND 18650. It'll be a happy day @ the Dougiestyle Mad Wizard Laboratory. Until then, lemme go fidget with this thing. Gotta vape...

I got mine back and i just try to remember not to tighten either the bottle or the atomizer and collar too tight, which stress might have caused the crack (?)
I bought a "Wetbox" when it first came out ($50)... and it lasted me 3 weeks before it was totalled by heavy use. That was it, so just try to get your money's worth.
This attitude may be diminishing the perceived value of an XL but wth... not everyone is getting this issue, and it's a hell of a lot more substantial than a Wetbox.
I know just hate to wait a month to a month and a half to get it back and what happens a couple of months down the road when it's no longer under warranty and it happens again?

I just finished my first bottle (fill) with my second favorite juice. Cleaned everything up, cleaned the Silo Cartomizer, and installed the AMG Hybrid to use while the Silo dries.

I'm definitely loving the AMG Hybrid a LOT better than the Silo on this device. There is a much better draw (the Silo was a very hard draw in my opinion) and the flavor and vapor are more to my liking.

I think I've arrived. Just some fine tuning on the charging/priming, and this will be my down the road (use while driving) device of choice.

Ordered spare bottles and Cartomizers (both Silo and AMG) so I won't have to worry about failures while out on the Rodeo Circuit.

Again, thanks for the help here on the forum for the advice on how to charge/prime. I'm not tipping it down and squeezing anymore, but rather just tipping it down, then back up and squeezing inthe upright position.

ukeman what did you need to do to send it in for repair? do you just send back the chassis?

W00T! Just ordered a Kick for my XL. I'm going to stash it under the battery, as others on here have done. I'm going to have to wait until I get my current chassis replaced due to cracking though. Props to skinny for monitoring this thread, and getting me the info I need to get that taken care of! I can't do it until after Infocomm, though. Can't go to Vegas without it.

EDIT: Under the bottle, not the battery
