Will do good sir.

As ever this thread keeps me thinking and yep have stopped squirshing, keep forgetting that word, completely letting gravity do it's thing.

The device falls more naturally to a 90 degree to 100 degree angle in use anyway so just keep vaping it. Suspect that I run it a little dry which is a long term concern. Pretty handy as VMod No. 2 has a bit of a leak if squirshed.

Looks like USPS has lost the replacement XL Vapage sent me but that is the way it rolls alas.

Got a 357 this week.

Works like this. Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, Gurggle, tiny puff, slightly more, slightly more, good cloud, good cloud, last one, burnt.

I finally realized someone said the thing doesn't leak. Perhaps I want it to "leak" so I can take advantage of the catch cup? Cut a little slot in the corner of it like the bottom feeder ones? I can make it work by dripping ok but on the vmod, not happy going at this point.

If it is gurgling think you could be over feeding it.

Just hit it till the gurgling stops and use pre-hit draws to make certain that cup remains wet.

If you put it down or gently squirsh the bottle any extra juice will return to the bottle. Their should be enough juice held in the atty for a hit or two.

It isn't a pick up and use the same as say a 306, 510 or Hybrid. There is a learning curve first with it then the atty in conjunction with the VMod.

Very rewarding when you get there with it but I feel your frustration as I was there too!

I have found feeding the 357 works quite if you feed it twice with the normal VMOD tip over and back up method if that makes sense. I then do a few dry pulls and then get quite a few good hits of it before I have to repeat the procedure.

Its defintely getting better every day I use it.

I just ordered an XL to go with my 2.0 using the 4th July sale code...gotta love it :)

Try this HH.357 feeding technique. Get all the juice back down into the bottle by sucking it back down with the squirsh and gently blowing into mouthpiece. Now tilt the Vmod about 90 degrees, i.e. level, and take a couple of healthy "dry" pulls, no power yet. Now start pulsing power as you draw until you start getting good vapor. Then immediately back off on the tilt enough so you don't flood it, and keep vaping. Raise and lower the XL somewhere between say 20 degrees short of level and 20 degrees over, so you control the feed. If you overdo it and get juice in the tip (and backing off from level is not enough), stand it up and recover the juice as before, then start over. This whole routine becomes second nature, after all, do you remember how hard it was to breathe right after you were born?

Fernand, if I recall from an earlier post you said provari is overpriced and all around a dumb pv an you were half tempted to throw it out. I was thinking, you should just sell it to me so I can figure out the over-hype on these things. :)

You know, with how much I got into it, with the extra adapter for 18650, I forget what else, it was costly. I can't imagine getting back enough on a used sale, and it's my humble way of appreciating what a work of art that you can run over with a truck is like. I may as well keep it. It's also very good for cracking nuts and doing electrophysiology experiments on frogs.

If you really flood it, squirsh/blow it back down into the bottle, then start over tilting.

The cleaning HH recommends is PGA or high proof alcohol. He discourages dry-burning. I've done both. But very infrequently, like maybe once every two weeks for the alcohol, and every two months for the dry-burn (CAREFULLY, pulsing, no continuous glowing). But after it builds up a shell of grey carbon around the coil (which is helped by a dry-burn), in reality it hardly needs anything, which makes sense when you think about it. I wouldn't bother cleaning, let the residue build up and then do a gentle dry-burn on it, after maybe 3 weeks. That should give you a nice crust. DO NOT scrape or mess with the crust, it's what you WANT. HH will not honor warranty on 357s that have been ruined by dry-burning.

Ok so curiosity eventually got the best of me.

Back in early June I picked up a Vivi Nova rebuildable atty for I think $4, maybe $6 can't remember. I also have a Cherry Vapes 306 extended drip tip and as I have been playing with The Line and have another couple of rebuildables en route have the assorted mesh and kanthal.

So I have replaced the silicon for very well oxidised 1 cm, sorry don't do inches something about base 10 being easier, 325 mesh. Looks kinda similar to a CE# with stubs of mesh hanging out of the slots. Wrapped a 1.2 ohm coil according to the multi meter. Reassembled, really easy to do.

Installed into the VMod first then put on the 2 cones. Pushed down the drip tip till until I reached a draw that I liked and squirshed.

Was expecting an fail of epic proportion and...

You know it ain't half bad. For my first attempt there is definitely something there worth investigating. Again completely different feeding style. Some hits have loads of vape and flavour then next kinda m'eh that are indicative of feeding issues.

For a few bucks an atty you cannot permanently kill may be something people are looking for. If I had two VMod's I would definitely run this just to tinker with, who knows maybe USPS will appear with the replacement Vapage sent.
