OK folks ... Battery change! Been playing with my new XL since Fri evening. The battery I was using didn't have a full charge, so pretty good battery life! But Geeeeeesh!!!! The battery is DIFFICULT to get out!! When I FINALLY got it out ... The bottom spring came out along with it! Doesn't look like anything is holding it in there, so I just pushed it back in place. I put a little ribbon around the body of the battery to help pull it out next time. Does this happen with anybody else?

I don't bother trying to have at least one of every type of mod and apv and accessory, but when I find something that works for me I do stock up. The discounts from Vapage are astounding; i.e. i got 4 2paks of Shifu 1.5 Ohm for less than $5 a Shifu.
I also have a flock of HH357 and Aero (no discount), but even with 5 different APV's on tap I WILL NOT be without great vape.
Batts/ chargers / juice too.
Thanks for the input. I have tried screwing the aero on loosely and as I could get it, to no avail. I guess i need to contact Vapage CS to see if they have any input.
I think between yourself and Andy, you sold me on the Vmod along with the Aero and HH.357 1.5 ohm. Unfortunately, my HH 357 came in working about halfway (based on the videos that I saw), so I sent it back to Hanna, I am waiting for it to get shipped back to me. The agony...
Will look into the Shifu. Unfortunately i don't have another 510 atomizer here to test the Vmod with. I really don't like the atty that came with it. I have a feeling that there is an adjustment that needs to be made on my Vmod to get this aero to work. As i said, I'll contact Vapage and see if they have any input.
Thanks again.

Exactly. The charger that comes with this device is poorly built (the battery likes to fall out of the + end) and is VERY slow to charge. Glad I have the 1000 mAh charger that came with my PS Prodigy 3.1 from a few years back.

Dumb question, I know, but are there NON rechargeables I can put in these mods?

I'm going to visit somebody, it's just as easy to buy toss-aways since I"ll be travelling lite on my way home.......I'd just as soon not have to charge stuff at their house, since it's elderly people in small apartment, and I really don't want to be setting up chargers and stuff at their home.

love your sig...
I've never seen it done (non rechargeables) so wouldn't advise it. You could get a bunch of good batts and charge them for the trip. 1 a day should more than do it.

So my XL has started to leak pretty badly now. Whenever i take off the shell the inside is coated in juice. I bought it used on the classifieds so I doubt I get warranty coverage. I tried replacing the seals but no change. Plastic must be cracked somewhere I just can't see it.

Pretty bummed as I rely pretty heavy on it. Only thing I have left are a couple of old egos to drip with until I get funds together for something else.

Is it still in warranty? Warranty's are often the object, not the person ...... contact the seller and see if they filled out a warranty card. (at least, for computers, the warranty is on the machine....not the original buyer, I know because i"ve bought TONS of computers that are still in warranty, and companies always honored it....it simply goes by serial number).

Hopefully, vaping hardware is the same.

OTehrwise, one of the Vmod experts will be by to give you a work-around, I'm sure. Esp. that correct o-rings are where they belong, bigger one in barrel, etc.

Contact Vapage and let them know. But in the meantime, give it a bath and inspect for the crack(usually starts by the bottle area). When you find it, give it a dab of epoxy(or super glue) along the crack, let dry and you should be good to go:)

That is very strange behavior for an XL.

You should contact customer service about sending the chassis in for a new one.

Just last week we were told Vapage is getting them back out with a very fast turn around.

Vapage has extended the warranty on the XL for the rest of the year, so date of purchase or warranty card sent in is not necessarily important. If you are the one sending it in for replacement, that should be enough proof of ownership, I would gather.

Thanks tearose, for everything! I dunno what I would do without you guys. Just sit and wonder about things.

BTW, i've been over to battery university. I'm not an idiot but some of it is a little over my head. However, one thing some of you did for me was raise my AWARENESS that battery stuff is a big deal, and important. That at least gave me the motivation to look further, and start reading.

I have already placed my chargers on a huge piece of thick ceramic, away from anything flammable, as well as keep an eye on it, etc. And have a fuse on order, too. :)
