The new Hybrid is only available in 1.5/2.0/2.5ohm

You might want to check out the Cisco spec in 1.8ohm though.
Cisco LR306 Atomizer + Drip Tip Special - Avid Vaper

This is what I got in 1.5 - I am having trouble not only with the heat, but also with the drip tips fitting too snug over the atties (I have to use pliers to get them out, and I'm probably damaging the threads).

Any other ideas for a 1.8?

So i just got my 1.5 shifu's in and omg. SO much better than any atty i've used before. I thought what came with it was good at 2ohm. But im a new super fan of these shifu's. I don't believe im even going to kick this thing. Im just extremely happy with the vape. I actuaqlly left the provari at home today with the chid on it and just brought my vmod!!

You will find on a few atty's the drip tip is indeed a little snug. There was a time a while back where the 306's were a little bit different in tolerance as far as diameter and some drip tips were loose on a few and that was more of a hassle than one that was snug. Those had a tendency to leak. This is not a problem with the VMod XL, but with a non bottom feeder it was. I think I read somewhere the drip tip doesn't even have to be all the way onto the atty, just as long as it fits snug. I just pop the atty onto an ego battery and pull it off. Not really a big deal. The only time I need to take it off is when I am going to replace the atty all together. I have heard a few horror stories about people that try taking a snug fitted drip tip off a 306 and pulled the atty apart. That is also why I don't take the tip off until the atty needs to be replaced. I have never had that happen and hope it never does. I don't even bother with cleaning my Cisco's like a lot of people do. Mine last on avg about 3-4 months with no cleaning at all. I tried cleaning a few in the past and found they only are good for a couple of days and need to be cleaned again and it just seemed more of a hassle to keep cleaning them. For the cost of them I find it easier time wise to just vape them for a few months and trash them out for a new one. I have been fortunate in that I have never even popped an atty. I think vaping only one type of liquid has contributed to the longevity of these atty's. I could never understand vaping more than one type of liquid anyway as when I was on analogs I only smoked one brand. I found that the difference in tastes took away from one or the other and was just very dissatisfying all together.

This makes sense - I ordered the 2 pack with the 1 free sleeved tip, so I was switching the sleeve from attie to attie. Gotta pick up some extras! Thanks for the information!

Don't worry, in a matter of time you will have several extra tips laying around.... Unless you have more than one APV going at the same time.....

Yep had to double up.

Mainly as I have a bottom feeder rba coming and couldn't quite deal with not having a Shifu to hand so had to get another.

Generally my atties don't do so well after cleaning for a while. It's almost like you have to break them back in.

I soak mine in 90% iso alc. Swish em around a bit then set them out to dry.

Usually though after vaping on them for a day they return back to their former glory unless I burnt the wick. In which case I usually have to replace them.

Cleaning hybrid attys is becoming somewhat obsolete; some who have posted long long life just recommend keeping them wet in the PV.
I go with a vodka or grain alcohol soak 1/2 hour and then blow from the connector side only, set out to dry . but I'm seeing it's not that necessary.
If you have burnt taste from charring your wick with too much dry burn, it may be irrepairable in that sense.

I haven't had to clean my shifu yet. Put at least 30ml through it since I got it. Pluid is pretty clean burning stuff imo. It's always wet that's for sure. Haven't put it down and getting very accustomed to feeding this thing. I'm not getting juice in my mouth anymore which is a good thing. I always get the hiccups when that happens lol.

Well my Vmod shipped on the 5th so I hope to have it tomorrow. USPS tracking hasn't changed since it left the original PO but we all know that isn't "really" tracking. Wanted to order extra silos and shifu(?)s but want to try the included items to be sure what I like on it first. Mostly use cartos at this point so I have a bunch to use of them also. Who knows....there may be another 50% off sale soon :).

Well, to be honest. I wasn't impressed with the ones that came with the VMOD. I didn't try the carto cause the whole reason I got the VMOD was ease of dripping. @2.2 ohm they just didn't perform the way I needed them to for my vape pleasure. YMMV. Ever since I got my 1.5ohm atty from them, I've since retired the Provari and ahve been caping exclusively with my VMOD. I'd say, Order one of each and give it a shot. You will most likely find you like em.

I don't think there is mail tomorrow sorry

I've tried 1.5 atties before and discovered they are too hot for me. My sweet spot seems to be around 3.7v with a 2.0 - 2.4 ohm. I do look forward to trying the vapage offerings in a 1.8 to 2.4 range though soon. I use cartos now but loved dripping on an attie for flavor....just never got the hang of keeping them wet without overfilling them. I plan to work on that with my new vmod though. Would like to go back to atties at some point.
