Yes, this was a great day for all Vmodians... I received a pre-production beta Vmod XL to review and ordered one of the first run Vmod Xls... Both are still going strong!!! I even have the 18650 batteries I received with the pre-production Vmod still holding a charge and in rotation with my other batteries... Thanks to the Shi-fu master for a year of great vaping!!!

The much desired and long waited for 18650 size Vmod was launched. It's been a fun ride and we may just have set the record for longest review thread.

I can't believe it's already been an entire year since I opened the original VMod XL thread. Since then Skinny has also revised the AMG BF Hybrid Atomizer using the Slant Coil. I don't know of any other bottom feeder combo that matches this marriage.

Shi-fu (master in Chinese) seems to describe Brian/Skinny pretty well:
Often in China, coming up with the Shi-fu spec/slantcoil spec revision of the hybrid atty, the Zappo (Cigeggo) developing the U-Turn (and not marketing until some bugs were worked out) and continuing to make other improvements to the Vmod.....and never seen.

wow, has it been a year already? Even though I have bought, sold, traded, and bought again alot of gear in the last year, I still have my XL and it still get's used, especially on long weekend's and out of town getaways. Truly a great device that has stood the test of time and served me well the past 365 days. Thanks Vapage !
Grats on the 1 year. So I haven't been around in awhile, but i'm in desperate need of some 1.5 atomizers and they seem to be out. I'm totally out of touch with the vaping world lately. I'm on my last hybrid anyone else have any other reasonably priced atomizer suggestions while I wait for stock to come back? I was using Aeros preivously.

Since using the shifu/slant coil spec I haven't used anything else on my Vmod. I do think the Aero is still a favorite of some as well as most 306's. Just remember to get a tall 306 drip tip.

Hello Vmodians! I'm kinda new to ECF, I've been enjoying Vmods for about 4 months now, just kicked my XL about a week ago, and it's like a new mod. I was wondering if anyone has tried the clearo's by Vapage? I have a Chrystal XL 2.0 coming in the mail today, and I'm looking forward to it, it looks like a pretty good little unit. The only thing that has me a bit concerned is I don't see replacement attys up for sale on the site anywhere..... Hmmm. Anyone tried one of these?
Yes Vince, I have them and I like them a lot. You really never need to worry about being short on e liquid, and they are really good performers.
Clouds of Vapor sell Vapage attys but make certain they are Shifu or Pro spec.
Apart from the Shifu I would look at the Cisco 306 with an extended drip tip or as suggested the Aero.
I have a few but have to say am shying away from the 357. Will pick up the new version at some point but not yet. Great Atty but presents a learning curve that isn't present on the Shifu. Also a slight change in drawer style.

Hi Katdarling, cool name btw. Thanks for the feedback, I'm looking forward to giving them a try. I was wondering about the need for replacement atty's. With the Vivi Nova and other clearos there are replacement atty's for them, usually sold along side of them at the vendor's site. I don't see them at Vapage.com. I know they come with one on the unit and one spare, but the day will come, I'm sure, that one will be needed.
Have you ever needed one?
I haven't needed to replace the heads yet, but I have many many devices that I rotate. I've seen replacement heads on sale at other vendor's sites and most will fit the XL Crystals. Best to inquire from the vendor if theirs will fit the Crystal XL.
Actually, Vince, with two supplied atties, the XL Crystal will last at least a couple of months. I'm sure Vapage will have them in stock in the near future. Then it will be easy-peasy to get your replacements.
