Yes indeed! And with some fancy footwork (long story) that is exactly what I did. Well...my friend did. Like I said: Long. Story. Getting a black one this time. Hopefully it'll get here quickly. I suspect I'll be waiting awhile on my warranty repair one. No idea how long they take for such things at Vapage, but given the fact I STILL don't have the shell I ordered 11 days ago...my expectations for a speedy return are pretty low.

I got my replacement Vmod XL in the mail today...and am once again happily vaping away. BUT...when I sent in the chassis from the original Vmod XL to have it repaired/replaced I screwed up. I knew I was supposed to take off the adapter/collar thing AND the cone. But now I'm checking my supplies and apparently I left the adapter/collar thingy on the chassis when I sent it in. I have the shell and cone. Just no collar thingy for the 1st Vmod XL. Of course there is one on the new Vmod.

I'd feel SO much better if I had a spare collar thingy and have NO idea if Vapage will send it back when they send the repaired/replacement chassis! Does anyone have any first hand experience with that?

Anyone have a spare adapter/collar from an old XL (or v.2 if it'll fit) that they'd be willing to sell and mail to me? The new version type. If so...please PM me? Or if you know Vapage will send my collar thingy back...can I get some words of encouragement?

No, they will never send you back the collar...
But- you may buy another vMod XL ...at any time.

And I have purchased the entire inventory of 2 ohm super shorty cartos !

Really, I bought 30 of them, so I have about 75 cartos now (30 of those sunrise 'sunset' ones...the doomsday edition !)
I also ordered 8 more Vapage attys..
But I pulled one apart the other night...I think I can rebuild those...they are not as bad (tiny) as my eGo-c attys- and I have done a bunch of those. I am using the cartos on #11, and the attys on #12. I like them both...the cartos are easy and quick...the attys are great at home for the flavor and clouds of vapor.

I played with the ShiFu atty some more this afternoon. Meh. I don't know. When it works good it's okay. But I vape too hard and fast for it, I think.

EDIT: Well...If I decide to get another XL it's a good time right now with the 30% coupon off. But...should I? Or not? And which color? I already have the silver and now a black. Hmmmm.

But....I'm worried if I'll get my adapter/collar back, and I need another one! I can't be comfortable with just ONE! Was thinking about getting a mini V2 for fun...IF the collar/adapter is the same as for the XL. Anyone know?

Said with love to all. I got one today. It's not the vmod but I did get a Reo. Please don't hate me for that. After using it for a couple of hours. (I had a COPD exacerbation attack today so it's not been a great day, hacking my lungs out at work. My love is having the house painted on the inside and it's slowly killing me). But any who. I now understand why people love their bottom feeders. These things are fantastic. And for the first time I've not picked up my Provari or Legacy except for a different taste in flavor.
BOTTOM FEEDERS ROCK MY WORLD.
And a special hello to Fourthrok and Dragonbone.(sorry for spelling Ladies) The special Ladies of ECF just make this man smile sometimes with their humor.

A slight malfunction of the firing pin...it ceased to fire! Being under warranty it was sent back for repair..or replacement. Stuff happens sometimes. I was just unlucky I guess. Vapage was prompt in handling my ticket, and I expect I'll get my Vmod XL back sometime next week. Meanwhile I got another, and am contemplating getting the mini version, too!

I am going to have a Reo mini in a few days so will be able to compare and tell what I like about both the Vmod and the Reo.

Don't feel alone on this one.... I did the same thing when I sent mine in back in January. It took an extra week to get it back, but Vapage made good on it and sent me a new one. You do need to contact them right away though.

I just got a mini as a backup as well. I will most likely carry both with me, as they are both very pocket-friendly.
