Here is a link to a professional study done on 1 single health issue caused by vapor. I'm not going as far to say that vaping is "bad" for you, because that would imply that it is comparable to analogs. However, read this article and make your own opinion about the subject.

E-Cigarette Vapor Shown To Repress Immune System | IFLScience[/url]

I read that link and the scientific statements are flawed. They are misquoting the study. Also this glaring statement jumped out at me....

" Though the lack of burning prevents some chemicals from being released, there are still a number of free radicals introduced into the body that can alter dna and have cancer-causing effects.

"We were surprised by how high that number was, considering that e-cigarettes do not produce combustion products," Sussan concluded. "Granted, it's 100 times lower than cigarette smoke, but it's still a high number of free radicals that can potentially damage cells."

Please note the flaw in that statement. Also that they fail to state what the high number of "free radicals" are. They just state high number as some scare tactic.

Well, add vaping to the list of Bad for ya, but Do It anyway.
Tap water - Bad for ya, Do It anyway
Air (city)- Bad for ya, Do It anyway
Food (exposed to pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and lord knows what else) - Bad for ya, Do It anyway
Sittin' on the couch watchin' TV - Bad for ya, Do It anyway

Ok, I quit depression is sittin' in.
Think I'll eat dinner, sit n watch tv, take a few breaths, take a few vapes, and chase it down with a glass of tap water

No science here but if I was in a city walking down the street vaping, I'd consider it "safer" than walking down the street and not vaping.

But then I fell for the old "if you are in a room full of smokers, it's better if you're smoking too because second hand smoke is worse for you" schtick. Yes it's flawed logic, it's better if everyone went out for a smoke. lol.

Is vaping better or worse than bacon? Could switching from bacon to vaping be considered harm reduction? How about switching from bacon to sausage? Would that be harm reduction? How about switching from your basic GMO veggies, and antibiotic laced beef and chicken to the organic stuff? Would that be harm reduction? Is anyone overly concerned with what's wrong with supposedly organic food too? Is organic food safer than vaping?

Why is it that in the entire known universe, only vaping has to be discussed in terms of Harm Reduction? ANTZI won. Even the vapers have taken it all hook line and sinker.

I just tell people there is no known credible clinical evidence suggesting vaping is worse than anything else we might do. And if they throw down the "not enough time to know yet" card, I ask them how many years of clinical research has gone into last year's crop of new and improved GMO seeds that they are eating right now?

thats why I said make your own opinion, I have some conflicted thoughts about the study myself.

I did a thread recently where I shared my experience of lack of colds over last 3 years (of vaping) and asked for others experiences. I would say to date that about 15 people reported similar experiences. Noting that everyone in their family or group of friends (all non vapers) got colds, but they did not.

From this little (teeny tiny) bit of research, it is plausible to argue that vaping is good for you. At least in preventing colds.

Would be interesting if we lived in a shared reality where it was well known that vaping PG will prevent colds, and that it is also well known / promoted that vaping is good for you. Instead, we live in a shared reality where it looks like smoking so it has to be bad for you like smoking was.

Nothing quite like a bunch of smoker's guilt being carried over to the vaping mindset to make the case that vaping has to be bad for you, because you enjoy it so much.

Where do you come up with Stuff like "Smoker's Guilt"? LOL

Not sure why People just can't have Concern about the Chemicals that they put in their Bodies via Vaping?

Kinda link they did when the Smoked.

There is a difference between people being concerned and wanting to know more, and automatically believing that there HAS to be something bad about it, we just don't know WHAT yet.

...and making decisions based on that belief.

I agree.

So why don't we Not Jump to any Conclusion as to a Person's motivations when it comes to what they choose to put in their Bodies.

Or Lump People into Groups just to try and Bolster one's Position on a Topic.
