You don't need to thin your VG as long as you are using 14g needle tips and it is room temperature.

Any to avoid until one is well on the way to mixing up 10x 1ml samples just to find the right spot?
Any other tips/tricks that you learned a couple of weeks into DIY that you wish you knew when you started?

While you don't have to thin VG to draw it into a syringe, you may certainly need to depending on what your atties/cartos can handle. You can always start without it and add water as you go. Be sure to keep your VG capped when you are not dispensing it - it absorbs water from the air like you wouldn't believe.
Yeah, I haven't had any problems with 100% VG in my devices yet, just a generic just-in-case sorta thing. I can see myself geeking out and making 1x,2x,3x,4x strength 1ml batches and blind testing them over a week. I've got the protocol down to where it would be really easy to make 1,2,3,4% or 2,4,6,8% with just a couple 1ml syringes and vials. And my tiny droppers are .2ml and perfectly fill my Phoenix RBA for a vape session. But there's plenty of mixing up EM&Mentol solutions, cutting nic base, and trying a few drop-at-a-time simple mixes to just get a taste of flavor before I'll try anything fancy.
Sadly WL is Out of Stock of some of the glassware I had on my list and a couple of other things I would have added, guess that just means there will be another shopping opportunity sometime.
I am new to DIY and looked around for awhile trying to decide where to order from. After some suggestions and reading a bunch of great reviews I decided to order from Wizard Labs. I took a couple days looking over their site before I ordered. I had a couple questions about some flavors and didn't know if he would be able to answer them as I know he doesn't actually make them, but I thought I would see. I sent an email to him through the contact us section of the website. That was last Tuesday and I still haven't heard anything. I went ahead and placed an order on Wednesday. I immediately received the emails stating they had received my order and it would be shipped in 24-48 hours. It's been just over 48 hours and I still haven't received an email stating my order has been shipped. I was going to send an email inquiring about my order, but I didn't know if it would do any good, seeing as my last email still hasn't been responded to. I'm hoping it gets shipped out soon!!! I'm so excited to get started making my own liquid.
I'm not upset...yet. I understand stuff happens, I just hope I hear something soon!
SHIPPING DELAY NOTICE: Our shipping service, Stamps.com, had their servers go down this morning and we couldn't regain connection until early this evening. This caused all of Friday's shipments to be delayed by one business day. We apologize for the inconvenience and will be working Saturday morning to ship all of the delayed orders.
Just poppin' in to say, you're the man, John!
Got my package today, and I am quite excited that you through in a sample of that Blueberry extraNext time I open the laboratory (yes, that's what I call my hutch) I will mix a batch up. In fact, I have been enjoying this Black Honey Tobacco so much, I might make a blend of blueberry black...Mmmm.
TFA Blueberry Extra is a great flavoring. Try a little Raspberry with it
I have no raspberry available, unfortunately.
For fruits, I just have apple, orange cream, dragonfruit, raisin, banana nut bread, and of course, blueberry. I wonder what orange cream and blueberry would be like?
