Gah, placed my order last night and ordered more stuff than I really need to cover the $65 for free shipping. Now I notice today they have more stuff in stock. I don't suppose there's a way to edit or cancel my order to place a new one? I know it must probably be a pain in the ... since the payment already went through and to undo it and stuff... and it probably won't happen because they're super busy right?

Also, are the LorAnn and TFA flavors pretty good compared to other brands? I wanted to order from Wizlabs because they have everything and I like the option of being able to try a lot of flavorings out for cheap as opposed to buying a bigger bottle but I know there are better brands out there. I don't want to invest a ton of money into random flavorings (although I already kinda did) and I will probably buy other flavorings from other brands in the future but for now, are these flavorings pretty decent or are they really run of the mill compared to like Capella's or FW/FA? Like for example, I got the TFA Bavarian cream instead of the LA but some people say the LA one is much better? Although I don't really have much to base it on except reviews.

I would email John and ask him about changing your order. If you are adding to it then he may be able to send you an invoice for the balance. Since he is so swamped he probably hasn't filled your order yet. If you are removing something from your order than a refund would be a hassle but he is always happy to accommodate. Email or call soon.

I got a gallon of nic and VG today great fast service, thought you all might like to see my little lab i mix in

So my order shipped today and I got a ton of flavors and bought a couple of Capella's flavorings off another site. Just curious... do people who primarily order from Wizard Labs like their flavorings? Seems like people's opinions of TFA flavors vary a lot from good to bad. Plus I keep getting confused... is TPA and TFA two different companies? Are most flavors "safe" as far as how good the flavoring is and how easy they are to use or do most of them taste like crap mixed alone and are primarily used as an enhancer? I have a lot of ideas for flavors I want to mix, but most of them are a little more complex with several components that I'm thinking of. I assume I probably won't get the flavor I'm aiming for the first dozen tries or so I'm a little worried. I wanna try something with pear, caramel, cinnamon, amaretto, and something creamy. That's probably too complex for a first try right? But I know I definitely want to do a lemon cheesecake. I have TFA lemon and NY style cheesecake from LA. I'm thinking of getting Capella's lemon meringue pie for that instead. Thoughts?

Certain flavorings taste nothing like their names. Honey doesn't taste anything like honey, the raspberry tastes like nail polish remover, and there are a few others that taste like crap. Its not even subjective. Its fact. No way and hell I'm the only one who thinks this. I highly doubt that TFA made these flavorings and thought they were good. I think its a problem with wizardlabs storage of them. I think that some go bad and oxidize/ferment.

Most of the flavors are safe, yes. With the exception of vanilla custard(iirc) because it contains diacetyl(?) or some other chem that can be damaging when inhaled.

TFA lemon is decent. NY style cheesecake is DELICIOUS. :) I would try making the recipe at 2-6% cheesecake and 4-7% lemon cheesecake, depending on what ratio and nic strength you like your juices at.

TPA and TFA are the same. They just changed the name. I buy WL nic juice but not his flavorings because I don't care for TFA flavors except for Pineapple. The problem I have with TFA is the % to use is different for each flavor so that means a lot of experimenting. If you are just starting out with DIY I would suggest you try just one flavor at a time until you figure out what % is best for each flavor.

I highly doubt this. John knows his business and how to store nic, vg, pg and flavorings. I'm not even sure flavorings can oxidize or ferment but if they can they would have to be opened and why would he do that?

Once John has his new employees up to par he will have more nic on his site available. He is limiting how much he puts up on his site so he can ship quickly. The reason he is doing this is because he is so swamped and doesn't want people to have to wait for their orders. I don't know which is worse though. Waiting for my order or waiting for it to be available on his site. :confused:

Kinda wished there was a rating/review option for Wizard labs flavors, I do not want to try anything that resembles nail polish remover, but I do think I ordered the raspberry... not sure if it was TFA or LA. One thing I'm worried about is wanting to try out a lot a different flavors but having to buy the same flavor from several different brands to get the one I'm looking for... seems expensive. I did try to do as much research as possible before buying most of the flavors by looking up their reviews on other sites and using that decide either TFA or LA or not to bother with it at all.

I agree. I've ordered flavors direct from the manufacturer that were unvapeable for whatever reason.

If you want a good raspberry flavoring sweet raspberry is excellent and tastes nothing like nail polish remover. A bit artificial, but not in a bad way at all. I highly recommend it.

The first time I ordered coffee flavor from WL is was great. It tasted exactly like coffee. The second time I ordered it it tasted horrible...blech...I'm not trying to trash john guys, I can't stress that enough. I've been a loyal customer of his for around a year now and have tried the majority of his flavorings. Hell, I must have spent upwards of 500$ there. Though, I'm not going to lie and say all the flavorings are great. I'm an honest guy.

Do you think the flavorings come in prepackaged vials? No, he orders them in bulk and repackages them and sells them cheaper than TFA.(which I'm very grateful for) I highly doubt he has his workers do it in an oxygen free environment or something. He probably has the flavors sitting in water cooler type deals for ease of dispensing into the vials.

With all that being said, I don't hate john or his company. He has done a great service to the community. But he needs to STOP selling crap flavors. If a flavor is clearly bad(non-subjective) then he should either;
A. Discontinue it...
Or B. Source it from another flavor company.

And if the flavoring being nasty is a result of his unbeknownst negligence, then someone should speak up and let him know what the hell hes doing so he can change up the game and keep us DIY'ers happy. Can I get an amen!!! ;)

Message to John;

Either some of your flavors are going bad due to oxidization/fermentation/etc, or they are just plain bad. Seriously, smell your raspberry flavoring. Take a big whiff and tell me that doesn't smell like acetone! Change up your game buddy! I love ya, you've always been a good guy to me and I want to see you succeed!

yea but at least they have that handy email me button that he will email you when the product comes in stock that way you dont have to keep checking and checking. I give him 10/10 on my entire experience with his store from site to order to it arriving at my door.

That's exactly what I mean! If a flavor tastes like crap/socks/death and most people would agree on it, as in it's not even subjective, the fact is it does taste like garbage, then they should take it off the site or use something different. It gets kinda confusing too with several flavors with the same name from different companies. No way to really know which exact version you'd like unless you tried them all.
