It doesnt really take that much more power.. I was a 29ga guy for the longest time. About 6-7 wraps in the 1.5 ohm region, always running at 15-18w or so depending on the juice. Got my Samurai Bonsai clone one day and was being lazy so I threw in one of the prebuilt coils that came with it. Those were like 24ga, and hit 0.5 ohms. 18 watts was weak. Cranked my Sigelei Mini up to 25w and it was such an awesome vape, like game changing. Was putting out alot more vapor but at the same time the flavor was worlds apart. I thought my DIY juice tasted good before but that made them taste GREAT. I couldnt do that with my 29ga coils without burning up a wick. Once again, a new dripper changed my vaping habits. I immediately bought a spool of 26ga, and started wrapping my coils around 0.8 ohms and there was no going back. Theres maybe a 1A difference in the amount of power Im drawing now, its nothing really. Im using a couple of mechs now so obviously battery life is different but on the regulated Sigelei, my Samsungs and LGs lasted just as long at 0.7-0.8 ohms as they did at 1.5 and gave me all the vape I needed just the same.
