You know, it was responses like that that turned me off Provaris originally. That, and seeing a couple of posts along the lines of, "If you don't use a Provari, you're a total idito becaue that device is so great and you're so dumb for using something cheaper!" After seeing how crappy other devices can be after a while, I didn't want to waste more money and I wanted something that could be repaired if something went wrong, so I ventured over here to look around, and imagine my shock when the people here were *gasp* nice. I still didn't think the Provari could be worth the price, but I ordered one for the security and reputation. These things have been around for several years for a reason, and not many other devices last that long.

I just don't get (and never have understood) why people can't just explain their reasons for choosing/liking something and then moving on. Why is there always this need for some people to talk badly about other people or the items they use? I see it with everything (food, video games, books, cars, movies, televisions, careers/jobs, clothing, PVs, homes, computers, etc.), and it really gets tiring after a while.

Yup, saw 2 guys vaping at the bar this weekend, asked what they were using. I forget which clone one had, one had the itaste SVD. They told me to save my money when it comes to a ProVari. This did not help my indecisiveness.

Angi, I see neither of us are verified yet. Heard j0ker hurt his right hand

Edit: This doesn't make me feel any better about purchasing one either ProVari: Is it Over the Hill?Steve K's Vaping World I really wish I heard atleast some grumblings on a 3.0 version, then I would feel confident waiting :D

Look at my signature at the bottom of this page if you want to see cost savings. In that time, Ive had one mod thats performed flawlessly for the past 15 months, even through a side impact collision that threw it 50 yards across the pavement with barely a scratch. I have backups of course but outside of testing have never used them.

It is true that you can buy 2, 3, or even 4 of x mods for the price of a Provari. Thats about as far as people like those you met in the bar have thought about it. What theyre missing is that at the end of a year or two I have a beautiful , reliable and solid mod to show for it while they have literally been tossing 40-50 bucks in the trash every few months.

If you want to save money in the long run, take a cue from your parents and grandparents and dont buy disposable products.

Sorry if I am one of those people from time to time. I do feel the need to defend the product once in awhile but maybe I should be a little more careful.

Nothing seems to get people as heated as provaris on this whole forum. I didnt understand why some provari owners claimed that provaris gave a better vape than other devices until i bought one and subsequently saw a technical description of why on this sub-forum. When someone says it cant provide a better quality vape than another device it's just ignorance - to be fair, i was ignorant of why too, but then i didnt go around posting evidence of my ignorance as i realised that I didnt know enough and wouldnt want to make a fool of myself as so many people seem to do.

You have to love how people post things rubbishing not just provaris, but provari users then end their posts with 'clever' predictions that provari users will post on the thread with their views! Trolls, eh.... gotta love 'em ;)

I have made this mistake once or twice. Don't beat yourself up, just get better.

Try to remember to say what you like about the ProVari. Let the other devices speak for themselves. If you must compare, stick to the facts.

BAD:
The Vamo sucks compared to the ProVari, it can't control voltage worth a damn.

GOOD:
The ProVari voltage control has been documented to be superior than the Vamo.

I've seen that behavior on other boards. Ones choice on equipment may be based upon factors that are different than ours. But for some, they become cyber-bullies. I have seen one case on another board, where the trolls did a good enough of job of bullying and twisting things the "fanboy" said to the point where he messed up and got suspended. Sad, too because this suspended fanboy was a wealth of knowledge, and one of the most generous people I have ever run across.

It's inevitable that any board, unless strictly moderated can turn from a resourceful, enjoyable place to be into a virtual bully-run playground.

My reasons for getting the provari were really simple. I needed a replaceable battery mod. The more I heard aboout the provari, the more I looked. I'm very much a "grab the best thing" person when I can afford it, and it looked awesome, everyone seemed to love it so I jumped in head first. Don't regret it for a minute. I don't know much about it other than...

1. People love it.
2. Made in the US
3. great warranty
4. I love mine

and frankly, that's enough for me. Also it's beautiful, and I may "need" a mini zombie one. I wish like heck they still sold the pink and purple but it's probably best for my wallet that they do not:p

I don't really defend the product. I defend the people that are lumped into a group and then bashed. That I just can't stand.

UGH!!!! I wondered what was taking so long to get verified! Is j0ker the only one who does the verifications? :(. I hope he's ok, but dang.

Have you considered your Higher Power it trying to save you from yourself?

Regarding the topic of this thread - There is no cult more devoted than the Reonauts and yet they suffer little abuse. Why is that? Only one of their models is VW, but it requires stacked batteries, has no display (it adjusts the power like a "Kick," and costs $194.00. The rest of the Reo line is mechanical - how outdated is that? And yet no one bothers them outside of the liquid feed sub-forum. It's true that many ECF members have no idea how a bottom-feeder works, but it's also true that Reonauts rarely speak of their Beloved One in the new members forum.

It seems that because the ProVari is a variable power (yes, I said power - when the voltage is adjusted, so are the watts) tube mod it's gets compared to every other variable tube mod and now the MVP. Perhaps we should take a lesson from the Reonauts: Know that our product is superior and just shut-up about it. If someone really wants information about the ProVari, they should be directed to the ProVape forum. ProVape
