I joined this forum way back in Aug Last year and their was only a handfull of regular people who used to post on the foum such as Katie the smoking Nun, T/Bob who i used to read almost all his posts, pillbox, cash and Leaford etc etc .... But now this forum is of monster size and i just cant seem to find them anymore.

Anyway what im saying is i miss you guys and i miss the old times when the forum was a bit smaller.

I still think the forum is a good idea for keeping e-cigs in light, I just miss not being able to keep up with it now as it moves so fast.

Anyway i will still keep coming back to see what the new guy or girl is saying about what the have discoverd, and see if they felt the same way i did when i 1st seen an e-cig.

Geeeeee ..... Going down momoray lane .... The hassle with Trading Standerds .... Me sitting for Hrs in the Log Cabbin in Inverness cursing my mobile phone if my internet crashed.....reading all of "todays posts" ...... us in the news papers and finding out half the forum had read about it before i even bought a paper....kate and her damm polls ......T/Bob and his always sensible answers....and Leaford who had to have every ecig going so he could do a video hee hee hee.... And of corse some of the arguments between suppliers and customers were good reading after 2 btls of wine at 3am ....Some of the videos people posted were funny as hell.....And we cant forget we saw the birth of Totaly Wicked And Trogs Screw Driver ON THE FORUM.

Its all been fun over the months thanks to you lot
Im not leaving or anything like that ...Just wanted to know if you guys are ok and still here :|

Rusty, I hear ya--I visited this board daily for around a month before becoming a member on July 5 (the day after I stopped smoking analogs).

Hard to imagine now, but I remember at the time that members were debating "dripping" (instead of using prefilled carts) & the only American sites for buying this stuff seemed to be njoy & Smartfixx--and us Americans envied you guys "across the pond" for getting atomizers cheaper than 40 bucks each! Omigod!

Anyway--my favrorites at the time were Tropical Bob, Kate & The Emperor of Ice Cream.

To be honest, since the supplier subforums opened, I've been pretty much hanging out there with the Puresmoker crowd... I'm a damn PS groupie!

yup, it takes about half an hour just to scan through all the new posts now if you haven't been active even for just half a day...but that's the way some forums go I guess. It's surprising just how much chat we can get out of e-cigs. Some real life people have called my devotion 'weird'.

A lot of time, things get repeated ad nauseum here but there is always some new interesting development. I can't really see a forum this active randomly springing up for many other consumer products. I was reading something about 'laser combs' today (they cure baldness apparently..but shhh, you can't make those claims) Maybe I'll start that forum next..lol. I still can't see us talking these to death any time soon though.

its what happens to busy forums rusty.. good moderation should help slow things down..

serious threads should be kept on topic.. posting millions of funny but meaningless one liner Ha Ha posts dosnt help.. nether does every thread degenerating into animals pics..

basically we have loads of people just looking for a chance to make a post.. any post just for the hell of it.. this just drives anything of value off the front page in two seconds flat..

this place now needs at least eight moderators.. for some while it had none.. now its got a very inadequate two..

its grown a little too quick.. i think this is down to having a server that works.. amongst other things.. but yes it does move too quick..

the important people as well aint the small amount of over active posters.. they might enjoy the one liner ha ha game..

the important people are the majority.. the silent readers.. these are the people the admin should cater for.. these people dont like reading junk.. they come here for something interesting to read.. not thread after thread of one liner junk..

you do one liners too.

Frak off noob.

You don't even answer questions in threads, I know you read THE POSTS, about your products or products sold with your name attached. Your name is browsing at the bottom but because you don't like us for some reason you dont answer.
Then you answer this with some thing, I dont even know what the last post was.

THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO READ IF WE DIDNT POST

God some people will cry about anything little babies you are.

Like this damn thread is any more important, I didnt say anything till people started missing the point of forums.

IF YOU WANT A STATIC WEBSITE WITH E-CIG INFO MAKE ONE IN DREAMWEAVER

WAAA YOU POST IN FORUMS ON THE INTERNET WAAAA
I READ YOUR POSTS WAAAA
WTF

I enjoy the levity
The people who join and have 1,000 posts in a single month are the real problem

There are only so many newbie posts, polls, etc, etc;

Which are regurgitated every 2 weeks

Eventually you get sick of it all and move on

You eventually come to a cross roads treat this as a social forum or get out

Oh here is the people who are the REAL PROBLEM DURR DURR *SLAPS SELF* THESE PEOPLE ARE THE REAL PROBLEM DURRR

THE PEOPLE WHO POST "USE SEARCH FUNCTION" IN DISCUSSION THREADS AND THINK THEY HELP

I swear to god, how can you think your in the "right" when you are not even contributing to a positive discussion.
Your criticizing other people for no reason instead of posting positive discussion.

Saying these people are problems, or no these people are problems. Quite strange and in a way this seems, mentally disturbed.

if the place is properly set up it can cater for all tastes.. it is possible.. the idea is not to have folks move on but keep them here..

i dont cater for popularity f-cking polls.. i do offer genuine advice.. and like it or not it is for the good of this place..

this place is at a crossroads.. forget what it is.. think what it could be..

and i dont want a part of it.. so dont accuse me of that..

I know trogg, I was just taking a Jab at you because it seemed you were taking a jab directly at me.

Infact you were. I am the only poster here who just joined and posts a lot.
I am not visiting any of my other forums and my posts will probably die down soon, after my e-cig craze.

Its just funny we have to disguise our comments when I know what you were talking about.
*you guys were saying "problem posters post too many new threads* but when you really look at the comments after the original poster you guys were refering to people simply POSTING A LOT OF POSTS not new threads and that means you were refering to me.

For some reason, people here, I have gotten PM's and crits and harsh posts about me being new just because I post a lot.
My response about making the discussion positive instead of calling people out still stands.

As far as my other comments I admit, I'm sorry, I'm just not stupid enough to not know you were refering to me posting a lot.

I was just fighting back and again I'm sorry, I know your stuff is legit and your a helpful poster.
I just thought its strange that you like to socialize then call people out for it. I thought that was kind of messed up.

The original poster is correct and it was not implying anything negative.

The forum is growing and moving fast.

But for the posts under it (including mine), we should simply, not talk "about" other people in general or implied.

Thats all we need to have a positive forum and place to enjoy converstaion which will lead to a helpful discussion about the topics.

Good to see you back, Rusty. I hope your business is still intact, given all that's happened lately. You and Pillbox got the spotlight shined on you for awhile, and I'm sure it was damned uncomfortable.

I want a sequel to the E-Ness Monster search!

I won't dwell on "the old days". They were better. At present, we have a mob, not a community. But there are still a few wise veterans around -- Leaford, Emp, Trog, Jamie. Still, many whose names you would recognize have fled the daily mayhem here.

I guess you know Kate got banned the other day. Sad day. She was a friend of newbies and no one can take over that "welcome wagon" role. None of us older and experienced posters have the patience for one more "what's the best e-cig" question.

I come back daily to get the latest bulletins on the Death Watch. That, and the hope that we'll get a Loch Ness update. Hope all is well with you, my friend.

With a mere 17 posts, there have been 2 complaints already with this thread getting out of hand.

Phalse, I read each post and I really don't see how you concluded what was said here was somehow directed toward you. Yes, you post a lot...some people do, some post less, some post rarely, and some lurk for-ever. I'm glad to see you calmed down and got it resolved.

Since I see now that things have calmed down, I'm not going to say any more about it. But this is how otherwise enjoyable threads turn into an ugly mess. Words are misconstrued or taken out of context and before you know it, these things turn into pissing matches.

So let's try to get back on track here and perhaps enjoy reminiscing about "how it used to be"....without it leading to something more personal.

The very top members of this forums have 3000 posts over their total time. There are very few of those.

Now I am the ONLY member who joined in the past month and has over 250 posts in a week. No one else is even close to that many posts, a couple people are mad about it for some reason(not anyone in this thread).

So the comment about people posting 1000's a month, the ONLY person they are talking about is me.
250 posts in a week x 4 = 1000, if I kept up the rate.

What I'm saying is I will not keep up this rate of posts, you dont have to worry, I wont overtake your e-silly max post count king of the hill spot on these forums.

Oh they are NOT talking about me but.......They are talking about people that post a lot, that happens to be me at the moment even if they didnt say PHALSE DID IT. I'm the only one, I know who they are talking to. lol

I'm not mad at anyone, this is the INTERNET.

Please don't take anything personal. :)

I'm sorry for any rude previous comments, I just hope at least we can see how talking about others will get us no where and we should just all get along. And on the internet thats a good idea because you can't really do anything about other people online :)
