As we are on the subject, I really cannot recommend twisted 30g Ti in the STM highly enough. 5 wraps fits just about. Its a PITA to get in but my god it works well!

From experience twisted 30g kanthal 6wraps is great in the STmini. It's what I unded up running for almost the whole year before going tc. Unfortunately I don't have 30g Ti to try.:(. I tried 5 wraps of twisted 28 but it was just too much wire mass for the STm.
I think this is the second or third time you've mentioned twisted 30g Ti working so well in the STm. Guess I'll have to get some.:)

Yeah that was way back in July mate

Just shows me how long its been since @TheotherSteveS & @tchavei first injected me and got me hooked on Ti

That 5 spaced wraps still works for me every time too in the STM
Me too all I use in 8 STM's plus I have 4 put away and many many parts plus 3 SXMM's I use and 2 put away for vapocolypse.

Thinking about a couple more since they shot us down on the date they are going to make it that all vape equipment developed after has to be approved by the FDA. 2007 so that's everything. They have one more bill but I really don't hold much hope for that either. These overpaid bureaucrats have vaping in their sites because they are losing too much money. Waaaaa F--- EM

I use 6 spaced wraps of 24g Ti in my STmini. Fairly closely spaced when wound on a 6-32 machine screw. Dia comes in a around 2.8mm. That one additional wrap nets a 17% increase in wick surface area and I can really tell the difference in flavor and vapor production. 5 wraps does fit better. 6 wraps requires some offsets to be bent in the legs but it's worth it to me as I only recoil about every 3 months.

I do 6 wraps too, but that's on days I cant count :w00t:

Will have to make all mine up with 6's today now

Man, don't bankrupt yourself stocking up just yet, the sky is not falling.

IT WILL BE TWO YEARS FROM THE DATE THE FDA SAYS WE ARE SCREWED, TO US ACTUALLY BEING SCREWED! (Yes, the caps were needed).

That's assuming the worst. And if the worst occurs, they'll still need to actually enforce it (including funding for enforcement), which is another can of worms. Importing illegal/illicit stuff online is a thriving industry and Customs and the FDA barely put a dent in what makes it into the country, and that includes the seriously dangerous stuff. From recreational drugs to prescription meds to non-FCC radios to fireworks to, hell, pretty much everything the nanny state says you shouldn't have, people are getting, and getting easily and relatively inexpensively.

Mods are going to be the easiest to get of all. They can't check every piece of electronics that comes through, for one thing, so regulated boards will be bought with ease, and mech mods even easier (all they need is a 510 flashlight bulb connector, easy peasy).

Keep supporting legislation and advocacy, it would be best if vaping as we know it today remains legal, but don't panic, this is far from over, and even when it's over, it's not over...

wow, thats a blast from the past!! lol!

Right?! And that's the one that only lasted 2 months. I have one that's surpassed the 3 month mark. It may last forever now that I have my Aromamizer/Asolo combo:hubba: and rarely vape my STminis.:(

You know I sort of feel like what I've heard on another thread, if they give them 2 years the states could very well speed up the process and make it illegal in that state right away. Nothing stopping them from doing that.

Yeah that's how it work in Europe too

Once something gets passed the member states have to implement it by the deadline but can bring it in at any time

State legislation has no connection to the FDA's regulatory powers at all. If 2058 passed this week, or the FDA said screw it, we're not messing with e-cigs at all, the states could still do what they want.

And dude, you're in Smokecane, Grassington. They just want more taxes there, not an outright ban.

Smokecane, Grassington LMAO.

So I just got my Ti1 from FT. Came on a clear plastic spool in a clear plastic clamshell case. I haven't tried it yet but on first look parts of the wire look brown almost like rusted. Has anyone got their FT Ti like this?

Mine came in that container but was/is definitely light gray. No rust. SKU 2839500 and 2840500. The 26 gauge has been working great all week in the Aromamizer.

Yeah mine is gray and definitely dirty. And there are definitely spots of rust on some areas. Do you think I should just cut those areas out?
