Yes, I had water boiling with an Invader Mini at 200 with both Ni200 and Ti Grade 1. I'm using it, with Ti, at 280F and it is producing nice, not outstanding, flavor and great vapor. I think that the ohm meter in the Invader is off, low, by about 20% and I suspect that the temperature indication is also off and, probably, by more than 20%. Accuracy in clones is a virtue yet to be learned but maybe that's why they're clones and cheaper.
What version do you have? I've got the V2 and it seems super accurate. It agrees with my USAOhm box every time. I have no scientific basis in saying this, but I think the chip is actually better than the DNA40 that was in my VS rDNA40 big screen...

Sitting down, facing forward.
I suspect that I have a Version 1 based on the packaging only. The ohm meter disagrees with my USA meter by roughly 10%, reading lower. I don't think any of these, even dna, are really super accurate, there is just too much room for error at the levels being used and really stringent QC is needed at every step to keep every last one accurate. At these prices there's no way that is happening. I used to work with high accuracy test equipment, traceable to NBS standards and maintained that way. Even in todays world of chips, that level of accuracy is just too expensive to achieve on an assembly line.

Now, I am not saying that some of them may be fairly accurate. There are bound to be some that are given the sheer numbers involved, but overall they are not really all that accurate.

You're exactly right, the best we can really do is hope it's within .02 and with internal resistance accounted for. That doesn't even take into account the internal resistance of an Atty... I got rid of four kayfun 4s cuz that stupid spring ruins any notion of accuracy, let alone temperature control.

I've got confirmation that the ipv4 will have a firmware update in one week:

yes,
the new ipv4 software will be upload one week later

I had emailed them to ask when an update was coming, as it has been ages with no updates at all, and the IPV3 had one already despite coming out much later. That IPV3 update added Titanium support, so I said I hoped Titanium would come soon to the IPV4 as well.

Edited: confirmed that this means Titanium for the IPV4

yes, will be same with iPV3 Li, we have got the technology and will use it

The Titanium revolution is here! Congrats all in this thread, especially Steve, Rossum and Tony, for being there first. You vaped Titanium before it was cool. You are the hipsters of Titanium TC :D

Update on Crazy Wire's Titanium (http://www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/products/Titanium-Wire---Titan-Wire.html) :
  1. Their manager got back to me today and is going to arrange a shipment for me, so I should be able to test it this week - hopefully by Wednesday.
  2. It is Vacuum Annealed, same as Stealth's
  3. "No-one makes Titanium in the UK", so they have used one of their mesh suppliers who makes their Titanium Grade 1 medical mesh, so it should be top quality

Interestingly when he first responded to me he said that since they had put out the announcement, they had had as many negative responses as positives - people emailing them telling him it was dangerous etc. Stealth's disinformation has sunk in far and wide :( I responded, pointing him to Stealth's volte face in their new update and pointing out all the mod manufacturers now supporting it. I think that reassured him a bit.

So what has happened with the SV wire - are they mining and extracting themselves..??

Just realised Ti was discovered in Cornwall which is pretty much my part of the world, or was once!

Yeah, that's why it's taking a while - their pick axe broke and they're waiting for delivery of another.

(I presume they outsource like Crazy do? :) Maybe they do their own cleaning? Though probably when he said "it's being cleaned now" he meant by the supplier.)

There was some sort of delay. Not sure what it was but it should be up till the end of the month I believe.

Regarding the first ti article SV released... Don't tell me about it. Every time I mention the use of Ti, some wise guy rubs that article in my face (vu and even Portuguese forums). At least there is a retraction article out there that I can use to make my point but it was damaging.

Someone inside sv told me "I'm so eating my hat about that article now lol"

People make mistakes. It happens.

Yeah they've only put it on Vape Atomizer Mesh. They have no fewer than three websites, all with slightly different stock items, and even different stock levels of the same items. It's really confusing and weird.

When you order on Vape Atomizer, there will be a field "Where did you hear about us", put my email address then we should both get a discount. I don't know if it's automatic or not, I'll find out from Chris when the order is through. PM coming with email address

EDIT: actually I'm not quite sure if they do have the refer a friend thing on Vape Mesh - they do on Crazy Wire. Another difference between the sites. Anyway, PM sent, and it can't hurt to give my name and maybe we'll get something after I email him. At least it will prove to him that someone is buying the product I told him to stock :)

I guess it is good to be cautious but that article and everything else they posted with it was pretty damning and certainly put a lot of people off. It nearly put me off until I did some more reading and had some interactions with Rossum and yourself and I realised it was probably ok, the Tom joined the fray and you guys have been taking it to the next level! The rest is history. Now here we are. Its great really! Looks like Ti is here to stay :)

Yeah I don't really blame them - sounds like he did what he thought was right, and although I could wish he researched it more thoroughly and in particular not assumed one crappy grade of Ti was representative of all, certainly we can assume that he would only go to those extremes, especially given how much wire he had bought, if he really thought it was particularly unsafe.

At least he's corrected it now. The healing can begin ;)

I had a similar situation with a Facebook group where somebody posted the original "anti-titanium" message, and I had the pleasure of informing them of the retraction post.

Can I get an Ermagerd and a Derp Derp on aisle Fearmonger?

The main problem was that he bought 30 km of 34g wire... That thickness will actually enter combustion if torched improperly so it was a safety hazard especially in mech mods. Nobody ever thought about TC back then.
