Any more feedback from those using Ti wire from "SweetVapes.com", NOT "sweet-spot"?
I live in US, and have bought some Ti wire already from Unkamen, but I occasionally buy products from SweetVape, so it would be convenient. Then again, if the Unkamen wire is made in the U.S., and the SweetVape is made in China, I may pass.

I've been using the 28g Sweet-Vapes wire and don't have any complaints. My only comparison would be to the 26g Spider Silk, and I think the coil held the wraps a bit better than the Spider Silk. I haven't tried any other sources such as Unkamen as of yet, so can't give a comparison there. I think Unkamen is still a bit cheaper, but I also order some other things from Sweet Vapes occasionally so it was nice to just toss it in the cart with my other needs.

We should contact a metal working mill and do a group buy on CP grade 1 titanium wire. Then we can buy fancy labels and sell it for profit.

Well one more comment on wires the Unk definately doesn't taste as good after cleaning as CW. Don't know what it is but it doesn't taste like it did when it was new the CW does. IDK why that would be but to me there is a definate difference in the two. I think the CW is actually better overall. My cleaned one tastes just like new. I have to run it at a little higher temp it doesn't use nearly the juice and it has a slightly higher resistance but overall I prefer the CW. Wait I might change my mind again but I don't think so. It is good stuff plus I have 60' left so think I will stick to it and not use up my juice so fast. The higher resistance was explained by TheBloke it's not a true 26awg a little thinner. I do like the spool better on the Unk though.

2Legs,

You do realize that the more juice you use with a given wick and coil at the same power as the one that doesn't use as much juice is simply an indication that the first case (juice hog) is running more efficiently than the one that doesn't use as much juice.

Really!? Well thats good to know. I know that when the wires are new the Unk tastes better then the CW but after a throrough cleaning the Unk while still using more juice has a different flavor. Now you just had to throw that in didn't you Holman. You know I have trouble enough making my mind up. Maybe I'll just have to rebuild more often but then it would be just like nickel. I also know the Unk even after cleaning still puts out more vapor plus I don't have to pay $15 for shipping but it is a lot more per 30m Plus the Unk does it at a lower power. Batteries last a little longer.

Well you know that once you post a resolution to a situation on ECF that some Butter Head will come along and stir up your whole world.

What's your take on coils heads? AFAIK they are almost exclusively (chrome?) plated (brass?).
As long as the coil heads are fully chrome plated I have no problem with them for short term application in contact with e liquid. I wouldn't feel so good about chome plated brass for long term use such as in major components of an atty because of the potential for local failure of the chrome plating .

Just out of interest what would be the general consensus on dry during titanium coils to remove all the black / grey crud that is all over it before cleaning? Obviously at a reduced wattage level but it is a bloody hassle cleaning it with water and iv not used titanium in ages because of this. Surely a few pulse heats will be fine to remove this stuff?

A little wire brush makes quick work of it. I know it's not the answer u wanted, but it's another option.

I dryburn my 24g Ti coils at 7w in power mode, brush with a wet toothbrush and rinse with water. No Dioxides form, it cleans up perfect and it takes less than five min.

One word of caution: Your TC Mod MUST have voltage stepdown capability to use this method otherwise it will fire at too high of wattage.

I was thinking of recoiling at work but things like tooth brushes and water and spending time rinsing it isn't really convenient when I'm meant to be working lol I might just save my titanium for my drippers for at home and keep claptons in my tanks to use while out and about. My next wire type to try will be stainless steel I think

I pulse mine to dull red. They turn blue but no yellow/white. The health effects of inhaling TiO2 remain controversial so you have to make that choice. Having examined the basis for concluding that TiO2 is some horrible danger, I'm not very concerned about it. It may well be but the evidence to make that determination seems sorely lacking to me.

To my knowledge there is NO credible evidence that would indicate there is a health hazard associated with vaping and titanium coils.

I am happy with spaced coils and just don't seem to have the need to pulse my Ti coils after a build, but it might be a nice way to clean up a coil after a couple of heavy vaping days to clean off all the gunk. Right now I just give it a good wash, use a toothbrush to give it an initial cleaning, scrape the deposits, and repeat. My coils last several weeks and the only reason I have had so far to change them is due to boredom to try something different in a build design.
