The solution is quite simple, yet admittedly complex. Remove the wires from the vaping equation altogether.
Capt Steve knows something we don't. More clues to come in due time I think.

torching wires is exactly the same as dry burn guys. The wire must NOT get hot. Only up to the temperature of the vaping while wick is wet
So you suggest throwing away coils that have buildup? If this is not what your suggesting then how should one go about cleaning a coil that has vaped 20ml of a nice dirty NET?
Not to worry, I'm not going to be arc welding Kanthal anytime soon.
Good luck.

You're a smart man Imeo. You already know the varying grades of all wires used in the vaping industry. You and everyone all know that Kanthal has been used for quite some time but everyone agrees that certain grades were bad. But you're keeping this "secret grade" close to your vest for a reason. So turning the tables onto me is of little use as evidence.
Comparing apples to apples is a little difficult to do. Especially since you won't provide the facts you allegedly used to determine your findings.
Would you consume a food item you don't know the ingredients of? Who would you hold responsible if something went wrong? Yourself for promotion without public revealing, or me for being the one that used since you said it's safe. You're expecting the vaping industry to just accept it as gospel, one man's word.
So yes. I did state do your homework. The really ironic message is those that wish to try will likely be in an endless loop of confusing information some to the varying grades out there. But perhaps that's the goal here.
Vaping juice from brass is no good. You were adamant about it. You changed your mind on that. And that tells me a lot.
I am amazed. For such a long time, it has been professed all over the vaping industry that Kanthal wire, A1 especially, was the way to go. Now not only is it not the way to go but DANGEROUS! This statement is being made by Imeo and is a careless statement to make aw without backed up proof and evidence. There has to be more than "trust me". There are MSDS that state neither as being particularly "safe" in that regard. And maybe they are both equal. But what constitutes "safe". If you read all the posts in this thread, it seems you may as well just pick up smoking again and titanium wire is the salvation of the world.
In a day where the various governments around the world are looking for ANY ammunition to throw back as an excuse to regulate and even ban ecig use, this is a careless statement to make without links and supporting evidence. Our government leaders will happily find this thread on Imeo's forum as a broadcast message to just how dangerous vaping can be. Bam vaping, because imeo said it's dangerous.
There is talk of K and Ni being dangerous and Titanium wire being the salvation. Dry burn, don't dry burn. A time not long ago, cotton was a HUGE no no. Taboo because we didn't know what was IN organic cotton. Now Imeo has made rebuildable parts for the very use of cotton. The use of R only wire was never to be heard of, but Imeo listened. Sometimes later is in fact better than never.
This is a careless move that will only move to fuel the fire with wrong information on the wrong hands. There is no proof offered. There are untested and uneducated guesses. "This wire is a better grade". But what grade exactly is that? "Oh we will keep this silent for now if you agree so ...." So what? So MONEY can be made.
The premade wires were difficult to find in stock. They were 1 each and supply was short. So people found other sources. They weren't of the same quality, of course, as others would say. Or were they? Then the price was lowered, and it was discovered and ADMITTINGLY brought in from China. But the evolution of zappers came to be and with that, people saying "if he can't supply the premade, I'll make my own".
There are a lot of "vague facts and innuendos" here. And this is a bold move in part made by the need of money. If you can't zap titanium wire, you'll buy from Imeo.
This is fine. Maybe titanium is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm just amazed on how little is known about it, but it's being brought down from the mountains as "safe".
Do your OWN homework and let the testing sort itself out. Don't just take one modders word, ANY modders, on safe or not when it comes to your health. K was ok for us since the beginning. A safe replacement shall not be announced in one day. And certainly not by just one person's word and "findings".
Hi Yankee,
As for the evidence of all wires i cant tell you 100 % what is going on if we dry burn or torch the wires,
but i am search now for a good laboratery to see if we can make tests about it to be sure.
I think he is right about this not to burn the wires but the best is if we have 100 % proof of it.
As for the titanium wires my only thoughts was to bring some better materials and healthier of course.
Thank you
