I like both the protanks and i30 and I have never had a problem but there is no need to slate a product because its not worked for you read the forums and watch the review videos don't see many giving them problems a lot of the time its more user error than the product and I will say that I've been a culprit of that were its been something I was doing not the product I've had trouble with making ss/wicks for my aga-t2 and did and rsst and so on but its no fault of the gear down to me learning how to do it right now im doing ok and vaping great and like a guy said put them up for someone else to try who may be cant afford a protank and let them try don't throw them in the trash

What Mark said. I know there's lots of threads on issues, but I tend to think that's because the products are so widely used - the more people using them, the more likely we're going to hear about errors of some sort or another (manufacturing, user, etc.).

That said, I've had all the ProTank products, and have never, ever - not even once! - had an issue with flooding or gurgling. I'd advise to check your set-up, make sure everything is always clean and fitting properly, read a few threads on problem solving, etc. before you throw the tanks away.

On the other hand, if you find another set-up that works for you with less hassle, then just go with that - no need to use the "latest and greatest" or most popular device!

I live in ontario, canada. Do what do u think about joyetech egoc?

Switched from a ProTank II to an EVOD (also a Kanger product) and will never go back to the ProTank.. Kanger makes quality products but I really think they dropped the ball on the ProTank..

Oooh, thats harsh ... While I do not agree that Kanger dropped the ball on the Protank, I will agree that the Evod has a smoother draw, and produces better flavor than the Protank, for which I have a theory about... the difference in coil head placement/positioning.

The Protank coil sits in a more "recessed" manner inside of the base, making it a bit more difficult for the juice to reach, and fully saturate the wick/coils. The Evod coil sits up, and out of the inside of it's base, even as it has the shorter post stem, so the juice flows better into the wicks ... For anyone who has both the Evod and Protank, if you unscrewed both bases from the tank, you will see not only the major difference in coil position, but also in juice saturation between the two ... and it's a big difference.

Being that the Evod and Protank coil heads are interchangeable, I don't know why Kanger designed the "seat" in the bases differently, but if Kanger would redesign the Protank base to position the coil the same way that the Evod does, boy oh boy ... that would be some heavenly vaping.

Hm, first tanks I bought were PT II's and I'm still using them. While I was using the stock heads I had very very few issues. When I started rebuilding them myself there was/is a learning curve involved and it takes time and patience to get through it. I'm glad I did because now I'm using micro coils with cotton wicks with zero flooding and the taste and vapor production is excellent.

To each his/her own I guess. :vapor:

Glad you found something that works for you. Keep in mind though, that unlike the Protanks which have glass tanks, the iClear30 has a polycarbonate tank that can melt if you use certain e-liquids, such as citrus/high acidic fruits, cinnamon, Ginger, sour flavors and cola/root beer, wintergreen flavors, and banana.

Personally, I have 2 Protank 2s and 4 Mini Protank 2s and haven't had any problems with any of them.

DING DING DING...we have a WINNER!!
I agree, this is what causes trouble with "dry hits" on ProTanks - but not on EVODS or even PTMinis.
I have found that removing 1/2 of the flavor wick fixes the problem for me - and I don't get any leaks - but not having the wick buried in that tiny recessed space would be a better solution.

Ive read through this thread and have to say that my experience with Protanks was a very good one. Ive had at least 8 of them full of juice since they were introduced. Ive have a couple of PT 2's and mini's. If you have a problem with them its either user error or your using knock off (fasttech) heads.

I have since graduated from the Protanks to other toppers (this is not a put down by any means) and they now all belong to my 30year old daughter that vapes and they are ALL still used in rotation daily just like dear old dad used them.

If they dont work for you, great. But being there are 10's of thousands of succesfull Protank users out there, I wonder why anyone would call them garbage ? Especially someone that touts himselfself as a reviewer of vape gear.

I can understand a new vapers frustration as all this is new to them and We expect comments like the OP has made. Most of us will try to help them out and guide as best as possible and as it turns out, he has found what he likes at the moment.

.,......Not trying to be mean here, but don't quit your day job.

My theory is that slight manufacturing faults (dimensions in both the heads and tanks) can make a difference between a device that wicks amazingly and does not leak, to one that always tastes burnt or leaks like crazy. I personally don't believe juice is ever the problem unless it's practically pancake syrup in texture - too many users are experiencing great things with juices that I'd even never recommend putting in a tank. Also, upon reviewing users' techniques, I rarely ever find that users are putting liquid down the center chamber or are vaping at unrealistic voltages - maybe 1 out of 24 users who have problems are doing anything I could describe in my experience as a true user fault.

My Protank II has been junk, my Aspire has been junk, all 6 of my CE4/5's (except one disposable, which worked great for a little while) have been junk, and I hope to review the iClear 30/30S next.
To all the vapers here, have you had better luck out of the 30 or 30S?

After buying 1 mini protank and 1 unitank from kanger , I will say their products are trash. It's a shame these tanks are the ones with the most threads of flooding gurgurling. It takes time from you and your family with tinkering trying to make these tanks work. Let me tell it works good when it works, but the odds of it working good are very slim . I ordered the new i30 s and was amazed at such a hassle free vape,. Even after the first refill I was kinda scared because the protanks it was a hit or miss, usually a miss which was so disappointing but let me tell you! I refilled the i30 s and it vamped like a champ over and over again. So for now these protanks will go to the trash because I would not even give these to my worst enemy!!

One thing I've noticed, and this is on most bottom coils I've tried, is some slight gurgling/flooding as the tank nears empty. This apparently has to do with the vacuum in the tank and air pressure, or something like that. Haven't tried the I30 yet though.
