It seems to me that most of the problem is that people don't understand that vaping involves a number of factors that sometimes require minor adjustments. If I get into a car and find that my feet are too far from the pedals, or that the vents are blowing air that's too cold for my liking, I don't conclude "This car and its manufacturer are defective rubbish." I adjust the seat position and thermostat until I'm comfortable. Likewise, if I find that my juice isn't wicking fast enough for the power I'm using, it doesn't mean the tank is somehow defective. I simply adjust the wicks, power, or both.

I started with a Kanger mini and can testify that it is not trash. It's an excellent starter tank. When in stock form it never flooded. After I removed one of the wicks from a head it did flood but that was very quickly solved by repositioning the wick and coil. Over all it's an awesome easy to use product. I have a Vivi Nova as well which was also reliable.

That said, I've moved on to an Igo-W on a Chemesis which I kind of wish I had started out with but without the knowledge and experience to move on to bigger and better stuff.

After buying 1 mini protank and 1 unitank from kanger , I will say their products are trash. It's a shame these tanks are the ones with the most threads of flooding gurgurling. It takes time from you and your family with tinkering trying to make these tanks work. Let me tell it works good when it works, but the odds of it working good are very slim . I ordered the new i30 s and was amazed at such a hassle free vape,. Even after the first refill I was kinda scared because the protanks it was a hit or miss, usually a miss which was so disappointing but let me tell you! I refilled the i30 s and it vamped like a champ over and over again. So for now these protanks will go to the trash because I would not even give these to my worst enemy!!

On your pro tank, don't screw it in all the way. You need to leave a gap for air to get in. I have a pro tank 1 & 2 and I don't think it has ever flooded. I've also read that the pg/vg blend can play into the performance. I don't know if that's true but I wanted to throw that in there.

Let me add a little about this. I think the same way, but, sometimes that either doesn't work. I've had a bigger amount of failures from Kanger things than anything else I ever vaped. I don't know why I keep buying. I have this 2.5 ohm head that came in a Protank that at 5V gives no vapor. Opened, washed, new flavor wicks, still no vapor. I kept it to rebuild, but this scenario is much more frequent on Kanger than other brands. Tanks are faultily glued, heads make no contact, hardly produce any vapor, etc. After vaping bottom coils for a year I know most tricks. I think I'll stop vaping Kanger altogether.

When I first started vaping I had leaking and gurgling problems with every tank I tried. At only 2 weeks into vaping I rarely have any problems now, with the cheap tanks that came with my kit or any that I have bought since. There is definitely a learning curve to vaping.

To the OP I would say don't throw those tanks away. Put them in a drawer and come back to them later. You may find that they aren't as bad as you think they are.

That being said, there is a reason there are so many different types of tanks on the market. So we can all find one that suits us. Everyone is different and there is a tank system out there for us all.

Interesting. I just received my new PT2 in the mail yesterday. I filled it and started vaping right away without any problems. I wish the tank were a bit bigger but other than having to refill it more often, mine is doing excellent. I suppose we'll see after I rebuild and replace the wick and coil. Fingers crossed!

Anyway my thoughts are that at least all the complaints are consistent, and will hopefully encourage a manufacturer to make the perfect vapor delivery system.

I'd say just the exact opposite. I've heard complaints all over the place. Too much airflow. Too little airflow. Not enough vapor. Too much vapor. Won't work on such and such device, bur will work on such and such device. I hate PT2's but love iclear 30's. I hate iclear 30's but love PT2's. If it's one thing that IS consistent, it's the inconsistency of the complaints. Kind of makes you wonder if it's the driver, not the car. We have a saying at work, when someone calls the IT guys for help with their computer. And the guy finds the problem in about 2 seconds. "Ah, the problem was between the chair and the keyboard!" lol.

This particular thread is laughable. A noob giving other noobs advise about anything! Wah, my first tank won't work! What's the forum coming to? lol.

best regards, larry mac

I feel similairly to the OP, however my problem was different. I agree that the protank is a bear to get the wicking just right so that it doesnt leak or gurgle or give dry hits. With lots of reading i was able to very successfully get the draw just right with my Protank 2, what i CANNOT fix is the rubber coil insulator burning every time i take a long hit or too many hits consecutively.
THE SOLUTION: Svoe Mesto Kayfun Lite. its a bottom coil, the air is drawn from the base on the OUTSIDE(not he 510) it is very intuitive for building(took me under 10 minutes first time) and DOESNT LEAK.

I, myself got a new INNOKIN iTaste MVP2 2600mAh with iClear 30 Atomizer. It's coming in the mail from Hong Kong so It may take a while but it looks cool as .....

Of course you can fix that, either by changing your vaping technique (most obvious, easy, and inexpensive option) or by installing new positive post insulators (also cheap).

THE SOLUTION: Svoe Mesto Kayfun Lite.
And only 55 times more expensive than a 10 pack of post insulators. Sure, no problem. ;)

I agree I think it has alot to do with the tweaking and experimenting with different set ups that makes people get into this vaping thing.
It's like the odd car that rolls of the production line that is just a lemon and will require tweaking for the rest of it's life. it becomes a labor of love.
