On the Provari what you set is what you get! I own a bunch of devices that are similar to the features and functions of the Provari but they do not perform as accurately as the Provari with regards to the set voltage and actual resistance of the atty. Build quality is another huge factor that sets the Provari apart from the competition.

vape On!

The Provari uses PWM (pulse width modulation) but you can screw on an inline 510 digital voltmeter and read the voltage with the atomizer screwed onto the end of the voltmeter. If I set it at 4.0v, I get 3.99v on my DVM. I get that, even if I change to a 1.5 ohm coil. It can provide the amperage you need and it regulates the same voltage with the entire range of cartos that I have. That's the secret behind the consistency of the vape that people talk about.

if youre going to drop that much on a pv and dont mind doing some diy, i think you should look into rebuildable systems ie. zenesis model or the ihybrid

If he doesn't have experience with RBAs I think that would be a bad idea. Not to mention the Zenesis is damn near impossible to find in stock.. I'm personally tryint to get a Zensis mini and cobal as well as a Z-Atty Pro or 2.

I would say the ProVari is the most user/MOD-noob friendly device becuase of all the safety precautions built in, tue error codes and the amazing warranty and customer support.

I just got my ProVari in the mail last Thursday and I can guarentee you that you will be very happy you got it. Just makebsure you get a good atty/carto tank to use with it so you can enjoy it to it's potential.

For me, attys and carto tanks around 3.0ohms (my J-Tanks boge carto is 3.0 ohm but it is actually 2.9ohms) with the ProVari set between 4.0 - 4.3 volts is perfect. Or for a 1.7 - 2.0 ohm atty (my vivi nova is 2.2 ohms with the 1.8ohm head on it) and it works perfect between 3.5 - 3.7 volts

i am going to order a provari tonight and was wondering should i get the extention cap and 18650 batts?Does it make that much of a difference and is it worth it?
i ordered the provari beginner kit only 20 minutes ago. The end cap and extra batteries are pretty damn pricey so I held off on those options. But I did get the extended warranty lol.

Just remember that the extended cap is color matched, so if you are concerned with the appearance, you may want to have it placed on the same order.

The provari is something I often compare to a mac. They're nice looking and easy for grandma to use. They're very well made and you're cooler because you have one. However, they're extremely overpriced. Their competition allows some better done features - doing everything the mac (provari) does but a little better.

If you've got the money to drop on one without hesitating then do it. Get one. Own one of EVERY mod if you can. I will say though that as a provari owner it is not my favorite mod in it's price range. The saber touch vv which is actually cheaper has that title. I also find I use a v-tube often because it's so much cheaper and does EXACTLY. THE. SAME. THINGS. so I don't have to worry about scratching it.

as long as the standard 18490 batteries last a whole day, i'll be happy. I thought the end cap only comes in that brushed steel finish regardless of the Provari color:unsure:

how come Provari recommends using only SR/HR carto's even though it could go down all the way to 3.0 volts?

Explain why you would want to use a low resistance carto at low voltage? Kind of misses the whole point of having variable voltage in my way of thinking. Lower resistance attys and lower voltage uses more amps (battery power) than standard or high resistance attys at higher voltage, requiring less amps. I saw the explanation elsewhere on the forum.
