I've got it taped, and it wasn't as bad as it could have been. They sensationalized the explosion thing with dramatic music and quotes from news stories. One of them did try to wedge the idea in that some of these were being used/charged inappropriately, but he was kind of drowned out by the drama of the whole discussion. They mentioned that ecigs are probably a lot safer than cigarettes, but suggested that approved NRTs were probably way safer (which is not really known, IMO). They, of course, recommended trying other methods (read- pharmaceuticals) to quit first. They talked to a woman whose
ecig exploded while it was charging in her car and burned her son.
One completely inaccurate thing that one of the 'doctors' said was this, "However, on the other side, especially in young people, teens, a lot of teens have been trying these and we've found that it can actually increase a young person's nicotine addiction. So there's kind of two sides. "
I'm going to try to get on their forum and post a rebuttal to this statement.
After this, they moved on to breast implants "exploding".
