You jammed 15+ wraps of 22g SS into the Theorem...

I run the Notch Coil at 460F/35W anything below 400F really doesn't produce anything resembling an enjoyable vape.

If the setup is giving you a satisfying vape at 300F then there is a problem with the locked vs coil resistance, you really shouldn't get much at 300F. o_O

Unless you are comparing it to a stock coil eVod quality.

Yeah, it was a tight fit! I'll try and post pics later, got storms coming in now, duty calls!
I'm not getting much of a vape! I'll crank up the temp, thanks! Trying to figure all of this out!

Hey folk, need some advice. My wife has been vaping a genitank/itaste setup for over a year. She is completely happy with kanger 1.8 dual coils and vapes around 8 watts. She wants me to set her up with a simple RTA. Single coil. That is similar to what she has now because she will be satisfied forever. I'm ordering her an eleaf Pico to test out. Seems like a logical step with the replaceable 18650. She will never need the 75W power but the form factor, easy charging, and replaceable battery will work fine.

Buying 10 years of kanger heads is stupid and I won't do it. A simple RTA that performs well and is easy to build will take care of her for years. If I find one that works then I can just order 10 of them and move on.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are interested in Kayfuns try www.hoosierecig.com. EHPro Kayfun 3.1 for $15.99 on sale in several different finishes. I've posted that here a couple of pages back, but re-posting in case you didn't see it. Mine came in today and they are in boxes with all parts including the polycarbonate clear insert.

Here's the build I had on the Theorum before things went sideways. Critique away, I know it's ugly!

Well, I sent an email off to Wismec about the SS cover coming off and the glass cracking, I don't expect to hear back or anything from them, but I'm perturbed that the SS came off the glass with tap water and the glass cracked in three days.
Maybe I expect too much from my gear?

I don't have any Kayfuns, but I have a mini Erl clone (that FT doesn't carry any more). Supposedly easier to build and wick than KF. Also top-fill. It's still my main tank. With a 2.2 Ohm coil, cotton wick, 7-7.5 Watts, I can easily go a month on the coil and 2 weeks on wick (light juices).
If you can find a nice clone, the deck design is really nice.

At 8 watts that battery is going to last for days!

That Kayfun looks perfect. Thank you. I'll build the coils for my wife but she'll probably re-wick herself. How often do you need to re-wick and replace coils?
I agree with the KFL+v2's. Go for the EHPro clones. I only replace coils when flavor falls off & rewicking doesn't help, about 3 months. Replacing wicks depends on her juice. If it's a coil gunker the flavor will fall off as the coils get so coated with gunked on juice that the juice in the wick can't make contact with the coil, therefore no flavor. I usually make it about 5 to 7 days before I have to dry burn & rewick. I have several KF's already wicked & ready to go, so I can just use one of them & set the other aside until I feel like cleaning it & rewicking.

So glad you are feeling better, jk! Don't be in a rush, take it easy so you don't relapse!
Thanks a lot, Kenna. I'm takin' baby steps for sure. Apparently this bug likes to make you think it's done. Then it creeps back when you're not looking.

OOOOOO, I had that last winter! Miserable! Throw up one day, feel decent the next, on the toilet the next and on and on and on!

IMHO that coil is way too big for the Theorem, in both gauge and size. You didn't say what SS is was so I assume 316L. With the 22g I would build an 8 wrap on 4mm, keeping the coil centered between the two wick cutouts. Bending the positive post leg like the wires on the notch coil will help with placing it in the center.

The above coil if it is 316L, should come out around 0.3 ohms, and since 22g is a thick wire I would start the Pico at 460F/50W, the 50W will help with ramp up time on that coil.

Do you use Steam Engine for your builds?

The SS cover should not have come off that tank with water. Did you continue to use the glass without the SS sleeve? If you did that would be why it cracked. That glass is meant to have the SS sleeve on it for support as it is much thinner than the regular tank glass.

I'm a man, do you really think I'm going to follow directions off of some random web site?o_O Yes, it's 316L, and yes, it's too big for the Theorum! I may try it again, I may not. I was trying to shoot for something over .5 ohms. Not feeling all the love for TC yet. I'm using the notch coil right now and it's doing alright, 310deg at 35w. I amped it up to 400deg, but no love! Certainly not with my 36mg juice! Then I started coming down until I found a happy place. I still want to drop the watts to see how it goes, but after the day I've had, it's such a pain to get into that menu, and I'm tired!

Yes, I used the glass that had the SS on it. Watching the vids they made it sound like it was the same thickness as the others, and the SS cover slides right over the other glass? I'll be curious what, if anything they have to say.
