I don't find this funny at all.
I don't enjoy animals eating each other (well, I don't enjoy watching it) in fact when the husband puts on Planet Earth III (whatever number) I just call it "animal (censored)" because it's all either mating or eating, or both.
I eat meat though, so I consider myself a total hypocrite on the matter. I'm sure a visit to a slaughterhouse would cure me, but I'm not so sure I want to be "cured" although I do go for free range meat when I can. Etc.

I do eat meat but I'd like the animals to at least live some kind of life first. And I'd like for them to be treated humanely while they are being raised.
If God didn't want us to eat meat, why did he make animals so dang tasty?!

I would add the incredible cruelty with which all "meat" animals are raised and killed (cows, chickens, etc). I would also that these animals are pumped full of hormones and antibiotics…hormones to make them grow faster and antibiotics to prevent the diseases these animals could get from the high stress levels with which they live…from the feedlot to the slaughterhouse. That is a beautiful thought, but you know that this is not the reality for most of the cases ...
We have all the reasons in the world to not eat meat, for me just 3 are enough: animals,
planet,
health ...
Peace

Totally agree with you…it's the abuse to which I object. Eating or not eating meat is a personal choice and neither should be criticized for it.I live out in the country and only but meat from the local slaughter house. I see these animals in the fields, I know the people who raise them ( not intimately, but to say hello, to know their standards of care).
Family farms do exist, where animals are not mistreated Or overdosed on antibiotics or hormones. Humane methods of killing are used. Yes, humane. Animals eat animals. The only difference between humans and other animals is that others don’t abuse their meals. No reason we have to, either, and we can make a conscious choice not to.
I respect if people choose not to eat meat. My daughter is a very respectful vegan.
I do not respect when people make blanket statements that are not true, either way.
Threads go off topic often, and it’s usually not a big deal, but personally I’m not a fan of misinformed meat-eater bashing.
Perennially found in ditches around meat-packing town; livestock with broken legs and new-born calves.
