Wow, some people are pretty dumb/ignorant.

You can thank the crappy quality control measures in China for that. Steve/Puresmoker did not actually manufacture the product, so it really isn't their fault that it failed after 2 days. They are merely suppliers.

But guess what? That's the reason they're making the Prodigy...no more worrying about defective products from China.

Well... we still have the atomizers, batteries, and chargers at this point. Can't wait to see progress on the atomizer front!

I can't wait either! It will be great to have an American made product!!

I think it's great that PS is so inventive in such uncertain times (economy,government)...all the suppliers are here to make money(for the person complaining PS is only doing it for $$) that's why you go in business--but they are the only one going out on a limb making their own product!! For that they have my respect and business!!!

Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Wow... I hate to have to be the a$$hole but damn...

You act like they got into this to help the "community"... They got into this to make a ton of cash. Nothing wrong with that but let's not call them saints just yet. Sure they risk a lot (in this case $100k) on their business venture, but they wouldn't risk it if it weren't worth the return. ;)

Not to mention I gave them a chunk of my money and had a working product for all of about 2 days. Awesome!

Wow Mesa...totally unfair for you to say this. Of course suppliers are here to offer their services and to make money. I have never met Steve nor had I ever done any business with him. All I can say is, he had always been kind and knowledgeable and willing to help...even if some of my questions were less than intelligent. He doesn't have to be as personable as he had been. As far as I can see...he's alright with me. BTW..Jo is hot..Casey certainly isn't a slouch either and Steve..like I said, "you're alright with me". But Steve...I'm still waiting...lol. I understand that you've been really busy.

There are a lot of things I like about dealing with the folks at PS, but right now the item on top of the list is the "made in USA" issue.

Prodigy and the passthroughs will be made here. Steve is planning a USA made atomizer; and I have a suspicion that the forthcoming announcement about a new juice line will feature more USA products.

That leaves only batteries and chargers. My new Janty stick charges from USB, and maybe future versions of the Prodigy could do the same, eliminating the need for a charger.

Batteries? Well, what the heck, folks in China have to eat too.

I'm old enough to remember when just about everything I owned was made here. Those days will not return, but a move toward a better balance seems positive to me.

i just value the "Transparency" aspect of this forum. Of course Steve created Puresmoker to make money, he would be a "SADIST" otherwise. What some people fail to realize is, Steve was a valuable moderator on this forum and HE DID THAT FOR FREE. I personally have loved buying from Puresmoker and its that "TRUST" that creates loyalty enough for a $200 preorder on an unreviewed product. I do not worship any business i repeatedly purchase from, my purchase is thanks enough. Yet, something about the Prodigy, sort of makes me feel all warm and fuzzy:D Maybe like the people in this country felt when they bought the first automobiles made in the U.S.A. Anyway, Mrs. Cash is very attractive and Casey is even more attractive because she doesn't appear in pics with a certain"MAN" who will go unmentioned;) Anyway Steve thanks for replying to my PM amidst your Prodigy"production" and i await Monday with baited breath.

Hopefully you're joking. How do you figure I am dumb/ignorant? They are suppliers of a product made overseas. That's fine. Unfortunately, especially when you offer a short warranty, there is still some liability with you.

Tons of stuff is made overseas. Does that mean that if I get something that's subpar I should just chalk it up to being made overseas and be cool with it? So now, unfortunately, I have to return your dumb/ignorant label back to you. Your logic and defense are bad. You would have made a stronger argument staying quiet than you did with what you said. Don't become a lawyer.;)

Well I'll say one thing, this crew has definately managed to get some fanboys. What exactly is unfair of me to say? I didn't slam them. I also said I have no issue with their purposes for selling these things. Why would I? Businesses only exist to make money. I just had slight issue with the OP ... kisser and pointed out the obvious. What can I say... I have a hard time keeping quiet when there are annoying brown nosers on the loose. :p

One last thing so we can all be straight here. It's easy to throw around how you "trust" them and how good they've been to you when you got products that worked. Now think about how you'd feel if you wrote to them multiple times and pretty much didn't get anywhere. They were nice but never once offered to make my situation any different.

BTW, if you really like PS and the owners then do them a favor and don't attack someone that has had a bad experience. Honestly, you make them look like they associate with a bunch of 12 year olds. As a matter of fact I was thinking about just considering this a lesson learned for me about buying from places I had never heard of and accepting my loss, but you've almost inspired me to do what I should've done from the get go. I'm sure they appreciate you doing that for them.

Why in my mind do I envision some of you as ditzy airheads and obese women stuck to a couch when I read here?

Ok, I think I've already demonstrated my willingness to piss of people when the subject warrants doing so. So, here goes...

I will readily admit that I am a PureSmoker fanboy, but if you are unsatisfied with your customer experience with PureSmoker, and the staff hasn't *fixed* your issue (sweet talk alone doesn't count), then you are totally justified expecting that can air your grievances without being forced to endure a bunch of abuse from PS fans.

More than anything, you are justified in expecting PureSmoker to truly resolve your issue.

Sorry if I overlooked an earlier message you posted Mesa, but have you tried to contact Casey? She is pretty responsive...

You had a pretty good discussion going until this last.... calling names never makes you look more intelligent or thoughtful. Nor did it further your point that you felt you didn't get good service (which I'll still admit you perhaps did not - can't really say as in retrospect, there's no real information just that you don't like PS)

All this really did was change my opinion of you from a rational adult to a spoiled child that didn't get his/her way. Of course, this is just my impression based on your postings, and perhaps you just had a bad moment. Bad moments are a bad time to post though...

Oh, and I'm not a fanboy, never having ordered from PS at all. I am researching right now, considering a Prodigy for myself....

Mesa, did you try info@puresmoker.com or just submitting a ticket through the website, to get your issue resolved. I know there has been a lot of issues with people using the old email address, daniel@... casey@... etc etc aren't active anymore. If your product went down after 2 days, they will probably do something to help. Its not for me to say, but they are usually awesome about stuff like this.

I have to say, you obviously had a bad experience with PS at some point, but having dealt with 4 different suppliers, and having had small to major issues with a couple of them as well, Steve is the best, that is all there is to it.

Nevermind i know the issue now, i knew i remember reading about what was going on with your stuff. Okay, so here goes, they don't have peewee parts in stock anymore, i don't know if they have a stash or what, but the RN4081 model burns through atomizers like fat kids through cake (sorry if that offends anyone). I keep a stockpile of 20-30, and am about to switch to a different e-cig all together. Keep in mind, i am a really heavy vaper, so others may say that there atomizers last forever, or whatever. I know the burning thing you are talking about, it just happens with some of them, probably a bad solder joint, well nvmd, but yeah it happens.

Be patient, this industry is still pretty new, the RN 4081 is the smallest e-cig ( i think) made, or one of the smallest. With being the smallest, you have a higher failure rate than your bigger brethren. If you were past the 14 day warranty before contacting them, then all you are going to get is polite explanations of what probably happened to your HW. If you were within the 14 day warranty (which is about how long i get out of an atomizer, but thats because i abuse the you know what out of them), then i am sure someone will help you.

There are some places with it in stock if you, i won't mention names, but will point you to http://www.e-cigarette-wiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page, go there, and you will see a listing of the different models that are compatible with the 4081 parts,, of what suppliers carry it, with the corresponding product names.

edited to correct link to the e-cig wiki

Hope that helps.

Right. No real information except that I had an issue with a defective part that I have received no resolution for. Do you really need specific details to understand where I am coming from?

As far as the name calling... if I'm not mistaken I was pretty much attacked for having said anything negative so kindly climb down off of your high horse. I made my comment based on the impression I got due to the postings of others. Seems a lot like what you just did to me huh?;)

Maybe it was a slightly bad moment. Not a huge deal but when you feel you've been screwed and others rush to the defense of the one that's screwing you while insulting you it's only natural to want to throw a little fire yourself. In my case I was just being honest anyway. :)

Thanks for the response. I intially contacted within that timeframe. As said before they were really nice, but did not answer my questions and did not offer any solution. All I got were comments about what would make an atomizer small terrible. I responded letting them know it was dead and I would need another. I even offered to buy one and again got no real information. I was only able to use this for a couple of days before this happened. I don't like the idea of having to twist someone's arm. I've made it clear that it had an issue and that I'd need another and fixing my problem was obviously not a priority or even a real concern.
