What about reverse trolling? When your "You're really mean to me, you nasty troll" act can have people falling over themselves trying to explain that the inverse-troll's unsuspecting victim is really a nice person? It's a tough one to pull off, especially if you've opened your plan with direct trolling.

Oh that never happens here.

"I'm not racist, BUT...."

This is one of the lines that heralds open season for me. I'm merciless with people like that. I used to be a fan of ClickBang Radio until he played some rather grisly racist songs in the name of "comedy" a few weeks ago and I haven't listened to an episode since. Totally uncalled for, even within the context.

I always thought it was too bitter and slimy...But a Cajun taught me a trick for the gumboz...Instead of putting it straight into the Gumbo while it is simmering, he had me bake it for 45 minutes at 350 degrees and add it later...problem solved!

Mmmmm, I love the sliminess of boiled okra -- stick a fork in the "cap" and slurp down the rest of it like it's an oyster or something. Yummy! But, I will admit, it's very much a peculiarity of a southerner, to enjoy it that way -- I've never known anyone who wasn't from the deep south to eat it like that and enjoy it.

Ocy...you have been troll hunting...!!!

We should have a troll hall of shame and collect all of the posts like this....stuttering ppeeble

Long ago a troll kept asking what was so great about the ProThingy. No matter what anyone posted, he insisted it was an anecdote until finally he expressed pure poetry. It's still my favorite quote. I loved it so much I made a poster.

I was reminded of when the Quebecois try to secede from Canada. It usually ends with the rest of the provinces wanting them out, but Quebec voting to stay in.

I think there was talk of Florida trying to secede from the US a while back. Good riddance, I say!

(If the first troll attempt fails, it's important to show a level of committment)

Yeah I've thought how nice it would be for GA to secede, but you see how that ended up the first time...

Did the site just go BOOM! for about 2 minutes there?!

I think some of us are pondering. At least I am. It never occurred to me that the secession of Georgia had anything to do with cuisine.

ETA: I like my okra breaded and fried, but I don't live anywhere near the Mason-Dixon line.

Im from Ga and shudder when I think about slimey okra! Oh the horror! Its probably on my top 3 "dont even put it in front of me" foods! [emoji12]

I will say this though, me and the misses went to River Street one weekend and ate at a oyster bar that made the BEST bloody mary on the planet (my favorite drink), and they put a pickled okra in it instead of an olive or pickle spear. Ill eat a whole jar of those things! I just cant do the slime!

My wife though will eat them for every meal! Fried, boiled, stewed... Blech!
