No where did I say many have left, I did said you are turning people off.

rants do nothing and are a big negative to actual getting something done as it turns people away.

I guess you can argue the semantics 'turning people away" but with someone else, not me. But you might check what you say before making such comments. My comment was about that - if people are turned away, then there'd be less people, but there's more posting - not because of me, but also few have turned away because of me. You're the one assigning me cause, not me.

As for the last paragraph, I've gotten banned for much less than that. I won't say what I think of you. You can just 'fill in' - you seem to be pretty good at that.

This is most definitely a political discussion, the forcibly imposed regulation over the entire vaping industry…and us! Again! And how are we ever to sort out a direction much less a solution without analysis of the politics that got us here. It's unfortunate if certain realities may prove uncomfortable to some. But absent appreciation of the bureaucratic objectives and tactics we are likely to remain divided in our action and resolve. There is no left or right, no rep or dem to getting it right. Left right socialism has been used against the masses for most of human history and we keep falling for it. There is only the individual and the state. The latter is fire. We are the water. The only ones that can put the nonsense out or temper it when called for.

We are susceptible however on a host of fronts yet we've remained so unjustifiably confident that reliance on process might have gained us some respect. That expectation arguably evaporated even before the comment periods began with the FDA signaling its intent to throw everything but the kitchen sink into regulations. It makes sense only if their ultimate purpose was to exert a comprehensive control of vape enterprise (the maximum taxable return). It was no first step. Has there been a good faith effort by the FDA? So it's been about a year now that we've had to come to grips with that reality.

Now is not the time for us to start compartmentalizing our conversation. Who knows, someone might actually have a good idea. And I'd like to hear it. It's time to throw some sinks of our own into this garbage heap.

Good luck all.

:)

I hope a moderator cleans this up. When I was a relatively new member another member was trolling and I pointed it out. Several posts were deleted (mine included) and I was told to attack the post not the poster and attacks of the member posting would be deleted with a warning.

Quite frankly, I have never seen somebody so ill informed.

LOL...

in one of his replies to one of the comments he says:

BUT I think there is growing evidence that e-cigs are safer than tobacco cigarettes, but i have seen no evidence yet that large numbers of e-cig users are becoming what I would recognise as ex-smokers. Meaning that they are completely free of the harm from smoking tobacco, so are nicotine free, for a year or more. The PHE report says "e-cigs are around 95% safer than tobacco" Why should we not be aiming for 100% safer which meets my definition of ex-smoker.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

and the stupid just keeps a comin'

that is the mentality that I just will never understand.

" Most smokers, alcoholics and problem drug users either have massive stresses in their life that are out of control or are suffering from undiagnosed mental health problems which is why the self medicate on tobacco, drink and drugs to try to cope. "

About the only major, ongoing source of stress for me is the fact that people like him and his ilk believe they have the moral authority to control how others live their lives.

Yep, I am not a "stressy" person...but the stupidity that comes out over vaping really boils my blood.

I'm sorry.. But, I have to say it... we are think like old people. The way to do this,
is through Social Media... Twitter, Facebook, Redit, Instagram... etc.,.. etc..

Writing letters is great.. it is a good tool.. BUT, this is 2015, our politicians have Twitter
and Facebook accounts. they read their Social media, I am not so sure
they read the letters written to them.

If EVERYBODY got on Twitter and [HASHTAG]#keepvapinglegal[/HASHTAG] (or something like that) was used often, it would trend.
That is what we NEED, this issue to trend.
One or 2 people going on Twitter will not make a difference, it would take a LOT of
people, but it could at least get them to see that we mean business.

i agree, i think social media is the key to being heard now. you can send all the letters and emails you want but that isn't helping getting our case out there. the only people seeing those are the people we are sending them to. with social media it reaches other people and can become something that a lot more people start talking about... even non-vapers.

other ideas for hashtags... [HASHTAG]#protectvaping[/HASHTAG]

and we should set a date to start posting it, so that way it immediately starts trending and can gain momentum.
