Usernames...what made you pick yours?

My name is just a random internet handle name I've had for years. I use it for most stuff. My avatar works pretty well with the user name. I'm living in Germany right now so I was really diggin the European tour part of it.

It is my first name. Generally I would use an internet handle, but when I checked to see if just my first name was available and it was...just couldn't pass that up!

This is my very first forum ever. I knew that they existed, just never had a reason to socialize on the internet. When I started vaping I didn't know anyone else who was doing it. I did it for 4 months all by myself and I got kinda lonely. Then I found you guys and my world opened up. I get forums now, they're wonderful. I was a visitor for several weeks before I joined, so I had time to think about my name choice. The Fool is the first card of the Archetypes in the tarot deck. I am not into metaphysics, but I enjoy the stories. When The Fool card is drawn, it is suppose to represent the beginning of a journey....a NEW beginning. That's exactly what this feels like. Several of the members here sent me examples of the card and I picked the one I liked the best (I also have a med. size white dog) So that's that.

Mistress Nomad, I spent my 20's traveling, lived in a Tee Pee, on a sailboat, in tents, out of a backpack....I am now in my mid-50's and am a home owner etc. etc. I have never been sorry for those adventures. I wouldn't want to do it now, but I have great memories and stories.

Don, I was glad when you changed your avatar to what I think was a real picture of yourself??? You are MUCH better looking than your avatar!

I chose Uzza because vaping reminded me of Uzza touching the ark to stop it from tipping over - it really looks like a good idea, an obvious solution to a big problem, but I'm still an addict so I might find myself struck down at the end of the day anyway.

When I was younger I spent a lot of time playing online games and on bulletin boards, I had 3 handles that I cycled through, depending on what was available on any given board... I finally got tired of it, and while playing an online MUD, I used the random name generator to come up with Trogost and Taebor. I put the two of them together to make a third character, which turned out to be my most memorable one that everyone knew me by... So I stuck with it, haven't had a problem with it already being in use unless I've been to the site before and forgot all about it

The "St" is for "Saint," and hearkens back to my discordian days in the 90's. "Doodle" comes from the story The Scarlet Ibis, in which the narrator gives that as a nickname to his crippled brother. When we were reading the story in class, two of my friends turned and pointed at me, snickering "Doodle," at the exact same time. It stuck, I hated it at first, but eventually I embraced it as my nickname.

If you see a StDoodle elsewhere on the intrawebz, it's probably me.

Outside of Georgia, no one has ever heard of me. Kind of like a public/private user name.

"Strigoi" was in the name of a song i was listening to (was a Behemoth song if i remember correctly) when registering for a different forum. i use it most of the time now. i've got a few different names that i currently use on boards. i've been on boards since about 1999 and have been a mod on a couple. after the last board, i'm never doing it again. it completely took all the fun out of vintage mini bikes for me.

i guess this ended up being a bit of an introduction.

I worked for this terrible cold-calling place, and they made us register webmail accounts so they could email us things. Not wanting to utilize my usual address, I used the first three letters of my first, middle, and last name, Ste, Rob, Bat. When my boss asked me for the email, I spelled it out, and he said 'Why Stereo Bat?' After that, it just kind of stuck.
