The battery life is 280mah. Here's how it was described that made sanse to me:

for each 100 mah, you get roughly an hour... so 180 mah (like a standard 510) is about 2 hours... 280 mah (like a standard kr808d1 is about 3 hours)

If you get the XL kr808d1 batteries then they are 380 mah, or roughly 4 hours.

eGo (what I have) is 650 mah, about 6 1/2 hours. eGo also makes a 1000 mah battery -- 10 hours.

... of course all this depends on your usage too, my 510 (180mah) only lasted me about 45 minutes to an hour.

I agree with you Rosa...as you said it depends on the usage...my eGo(650 mah) allows me to vape a day as i vape once every three hours...sometimes it last for 1/2 more based on my usage...

thank u, as to strength, I was wondering about the mah.
on vapor4life it doesnt actually state the battery type u get, wether it be a d1 or not.
well, that i can locate.

You want d1, I think d2 is one of those awful cigarette lookalikes that don't actually do much. Mah has more to do with length of battery charge - how long between charges. It has relatively little to do with strength of vapor or warmth of vapor or any of that, that's all volts.

The V4L ones are the D1's

Unfortunately it didnt say which batteries are actually contained in the kit. A bit strange that.
Hopefully it is the correct one.
Thank you so much for ur help Rosa, Keyz.

Thanks to everybody that was kind enough to take the time to respond, everything went much better and I was able to make a decision that I felt comfortable with. But now "it is finished" lol, I have ordered the 808. I will let everyone know on this thread how it goes. Once again, Thanks!

If you want an automatic battery, do 808 from vapor4life.com...If you want versitility and ability to upgrade, do a 510 manual from cignot.com. The 510 auto battery is NOT recommended, nor the 180 mah battery for 510. Get the mega at 280 mah manual battery.. But both are good option, and you'll most likely own both eventually anyhow. ;)

Oh, If you hear the word EGO posted below me..just ignore.

Is there something wrong with the eGo that I'm just not reading in the forums here. I got mine 4 days ago (my first PV) and I love it - especially with the T atomizer using the tanks.

So far, all I've heard from the members saying not to get the eGo is just that 'don't get the eGo' - why?

I want to try other vaping devices too but I'm 100 satisfied with my eGo.

There is a small vocal minority who have taken an irrational dislike to the eGo. They justify it by saying you should get a 510 or KR8 or move to a mod. THEY seem to think that it is ridiculous to get an eGo for better battery life, because you can get a pass-through for a 510...OK if you don't mind being tethered while you vape. Don't ask me why, I don't get it, you can't explain irrational. I started with an eGo. It is a good pv, reasonably priced, with excellent battery life for the size.

Nope. I think the eGo is a great system, but for the OP I thought she would like something more like the 901 or 808.

One does not fit all.

I mean, I wear flannel shirts all the time, sometimes with a tie, but that doesn't work for everyone.

Your advice was perfectly fine. You made a suggestion and stated why you thought it would work for the OP. Someone else posted *don't get an eGo* with no further explanation. Frankly, it's kind of ridiculous. I know that some people jump in and recommend an eGo even if it doesn't meet the op's criteria, just like some people are on the KR8 bandwagon, or certain brands, mostly because they're new and excited about the pv that got them off analogs. But I'm getting really tired of the irrational anti-eGo sentiment expressed by long-time members who really should know better. It's a good pv, not perfect (what is?), but a reasonably priced option for people who are looking for good battery life and something with enough ooomph to get off cigs.

There is not one PV that suits everyone.Im very happy that you like and recomend the Ego.Thankfully there are others that give the newer people options so they can choose what best suits them. They make many different PVs because there are many different types of people who want different things. That way everyone can be happy and get what they need to get off the cigs. That is the main objective here.

I have no problem with options. Yes, I think that the $30 Riva kit is one of the best first steps into vaping in general...does everything fairly well at a great price. My objection is the people who just want to rag on the eGo because it isn't a $100 mod.
