i got my vamo v2 black chrome from smoketek.com nobody is mentioning the V itched on the bottom of the pv.

Mine, also from smoktek.com, doesn't have a v on the bottom. I think the one with the V on the bottom is branded/being sold as the Vision Variable Voltage & Wattage Transformer mod.

My black chrome one from Smoketek also has the V at the bottom. It was listed as VAMO Variable Power, VV APV, Rev.2 - Gun Metal.

Gun metal VAMO from SmokTek.

Has the paper washer/liner/gasket for top end shorts, remembers wattage and has the upgraded spring which still doesn't seem to be enough as mine compresses easily after a few weeks of usage and I've found now the 18650 mode can turn off if I wiggle or set down too hard. I primarily run dual 18350 mode and seem to be able to get the end cap on all the way which may have compressed the spring more. I'll bee looking for a replacement or "hot spring" from AtlSmoke shortly.

Use mine with nipple top 650's and 350's and other than some issues noted above with the spring I've had no other issues. Vapes great and the finish, while a bit of hairline scratches, cleans up nice and is not fading (As per the guy in the other VAMO thread).

[Edit] Also just read further into the thread and mine, even being the Gun Metal version, has no V etched on the bottom or cap.

Cheers,
~Icky

tc1,

I believe mine to be a V2 VAMO but haven't been able to find an image of the original spring. I'll go searching again but this one is OK I guess but after using 350's in it, which have no play or rattle at all, the 650 Pannie hybrids do wiggle a bit and the eFest 650 does it more. I'm sure that's due to the diameter of the batteries themselves with the eFest just being a tad smaller than the Pannies.

If I happen to find an image of the V1 spring I can validate this is the new spring for the V2 but it's not what I would consider a strong spring compared to those I've seen in torches or other devices. I'll move than likely be grabbing a few of the Omega hotsprings from AtlSmoke to have spares just in case.

Cheers,
~Icky

Can you post a pic? The one I was thinking of is pictured here:

I got mine yesterday from Healthcabin.
Chrome V2
Has top gasket
Remembers wattage at battery change
Came with a long spring installed and also came with a larger wide spring that I installed with the spring that was in there.

Has anyone posted that they got a Vamo with the sturdier spring from somewhere other than Health Cabin? I'm trying to figure out whether the sturdier spring is something that Health Cabin is including to mitigate customer complaints or whether Vamo's manufacturer(s) have seen the light that the wimpy springs they were using don't work well.

I cant answer that question but the bigger spring sure seems to make a big improvement.

I'm in a co-op for another Vamo. These are coming straight from the manufacturer. They have a different spring in them.

The co-op was also offering individual tubes and caps to be purchased, but I missed the boat on the offer since it wasn't part of the initial offer, but was added later.

My chrome vamo has this too. What does ✓ ROES mean?

It's ROHS. Restriction of hazardous substances for electronics. The tick means its compliant and doesn't contain certain metals over the threshold. I doubt it contains any of the ones that come under ROHS. The CE is for CE compliant. It satisifies the European health and safety and environmental regulations. In some countries goods must be marked CE compliant. These pvs are sold worldwide, so they are putting the ROHS and CE there for the European markets I expect. Its good - it shows they have met the necessary standards.
