I love the creativity here with the wraps. Love the looks of yer Vamos, I have 2 of them. I had some marine vinyl around and had the wife sew up a couple of sheaths to protect them. I also had her sew up a corduroy one too. I still need to run a string through for a lanyard but these work great to keep them from rolling around. Not as nice looking as the wraps but get the job done. Lovin the Vamo with the Boge F16 and 3ohm cartos.

I found the ugliest flower shelf paper in my closet and I was like don't do it. lol
I did get a new xacto blade but thats as far as I've gotten for my second attempt.
I'm thinking green, maybe marbled or speckled. Also will want to cut 2. One that
overlaps and one that buts up. This is fun for sure. ;)

lol, I found some old ugly wood grain stuff and said the same thing.

I just ordered a black carbon fiber wrap from a place in the UK called VapinSkins. It will cover all of the parts of the Vamo, which is something I was looking for and couldn't find at all the other places I looked. I dont trust myself to try a DIY solution...LOL. It cost about 10 dollars with shipping. Hopefully it works out well and looks good. VapinSkins - Vamo

wow,very useful!

It didnt work out...after 2 weeks of waiting for vapemail, I sent out 3 emails to the company inquiring on shipping time from the UK....I finally got a reply and was told they had some fitment problems and an issue contacting some company (I have no idea what that meant). They said they had it all figured out and would be sending it out in the next couple of days....that ticked me off....I was under the impression that this item was in stock and they would just send it out. No communication, repeated failure to reply to my emails, and then a very lackadaisical attitude about when they would ship it out. They didn't seem to be in any hurry. That just doesn't fly with me. I requested a refund and they promptly refunded my money to PayPal. A couple of days ago I ordered this and it's in the mail en route to me....Black carbon fiber, option 1, and inexpensive... VAMO Wrap

Spike1964 - I would agree that the explanation you got from VapinSkins is confusing as the 3D carbon vinyl is widely available and the entire process of cutting with an electronic cutter only takes a couple of minutes. Sorry that things didn't turn out well.

I did find it amusing that Vinyl ... is using my unaltered template. One would think that they would have wanted to take a couple of minutes to modify the graphic to look more professional. However, I do hope that you have better luck with getting a wrap.

HAHAHAHA....I didnt realize that was your template....that's just too much!...I hope it's a decent wrap too....if this doesn't work out for any reason, I'm just gonna scrap the skin idea and find a quality leather sleeve along the lines of what SerenityGear Leather makes...I'd just buy from Vapor Skinz or JWraps, but they dont have a skin that fully covers the Vamo...

Wow, that really looks good... even for a low res photo. I was thinking about doing this myself with the black carbon using peraspera's template. I was going to buy some carbon stuff on ebay, but unfortunately my CC got hacked so I can't buy anything yet. I like it in short mode for sure.

Thanks for posting it! You can go crash now!

edit... forgot to ask, how's the rear seam. Overlapping or not?

You can choose to have overlap or no overlap when you order the wrap. I chose to have an overlap because I didnt want to end up with a gap for any reason. Very hard to make all the seams line up in the back, Not very noticeable though unless you really look for it...overall, it's a really nice quality wrap....especially for 8 bucks shipped....
