Someone had asked me either in PM / email / or here (can't remember) how I clean my stuff and with all these grooves etc I know it's tough.. I use vodka/pure grain alcohol and a soft toothbrush to get in there. Neithe will hurt mods or finishes unless the finish is a sticker or wrap, then be careful

Gez that's beautiful. Is that really orange in the grooves or a reflection. I can't imagine how he could do that.

yes, though the lighting enhanced it, when you look at it straight on its a beautiful reddish copper, but it changes all the time as you turn it and the light affects it. It is amazing, the colour gets affected as he heats it up, and since the recessed parts get less heat I guess thats how it gets those different tones in between.

yes, though the lighting enhanced it, when you look at it straight on its a beautiful reddish copper, but it changes all the time as you turn it and the light affects it. It is amazing, the colour gets affected as he heats it up, and since the recessed parts get less heat I guess thats how it gets those different tones in between.

Yeah, the color is a dark yellow just as it flashes to bronze.. In some lighting it looks orange sometimes it looks bronze etc.. The color in the grooves is different exactly why avid said, it heats less due to less exposure to the flame. When I color tips I can reliably solid color things that are the same thickness, but different thicknesses are tricky.. I love when serendipitous colorations happen.. Much like the dark rose color tip you have TM.. I don't think I could replicate that exactly if I tried. That's why I love making tips, between cutting and coloring them there will literally never be one the same.. The only measurements I take are for the 510 end and o-ring groove.. So everything else ensures its unique

They are ALL one of a kind colored or not.. I will never duplicate tips exactly, I don't want to and I think it looses something then.. Yours and Avid's I'm sure I couldn't duplicate (specifically color) even if I tried though... Really I end up wanting all of the tips I make, that's how I know they are good enough to sell to people..i still have 2-3 tips on my desk I don't think are cool enough to sell or even give away.. So I don't.. They remind me what not to do next time.. Haha

I remember that one, its from the same batch as my other one, almost got that. Just beautiful. Di, you just out do yourself every time. My next order is going to be a couple of the "plain" coloured ones, yeah...... plain, if any of your tips can be called "plain" I will call them "natural" instead.
